Clan with blank Clan Description got all Co-leaders and Leader BANNED

I'm a co-leader and banned for 2 days. Same thing happened with the rest of co-leads. What did we do wrong? Our clan description was left blank.

Then, Supercell changed that and left a message that our description is appropriate and gave us a warning. Then banned all co-leads and the leader for 2 days.

I know it was BLANK coz the last description was "77 wins" but we lost the last war. So, I personally deleted it and left it blank.

I talked to the other co-leads and nobody had a clue what happened. So what do you think happened? Someone in Supercell got drunk!?

i think someone changed it after you logged out and doesn't want to own up to it. Someone reported you for your description, SC looked at it and decided it was offensive and ban hammered you. If it was blank they would have left it alone.

When your ban is over you can send an in game help request for the details, hopefully that will help you figure out who the wise guy was....


edit... The other option is it was offensive a few days ago, someone sent a screen shot in and they just got around to banning you... But you didn't mention previous issues so I'd go with someone changed it and now doesn't want to admit they did it..

The most likely explanation is that one of your co-leaders put something offensive in the clan description between the time you logged out and the time you were banned.

This reason is probably the most logical reason.

Why does not Supercell store the user with the last update of the clan description in their database? Should not be a big deal and would not always get Players banned that did not do it or ever have seen it.

Even if a co could edit the clan description, start a clan war and so on, this is done by the leader in most cases.
In my clan only I edit the clan description because I manage the clan, so why should cos get banned for something that I have done.
There are also often casual Players as cos that only log on once in a while and do absolutely non clan related stuff, but are cos because they are Family members of another co or got co in the early stages of the clan and did nothing wrong to justify taking the co away. Why do they still get banned?

If there is a "anyone gets co" clan why is everybody banned even if he only entered the clan 5 minutes ago? If you blame the leader for promoting cos that do silly stuff I can understand it even if it is a bit strict for some of the 13 year olds that trusted some of their friends, but if you blame other cos only for being in a clan with Players that do silly stuff, makes no sense. This is like banning all clan members of someone who is banned in global.

I think at very least...SC should have a way to decipher who posted the inappropriate message. Because now that you guys have been banned for the action of one....not knowing who that one is puts you at further risk. How can you demote or reprimand that person to deter them from doing it again if you don't know who they are?

I have seen arguments that you need to be careful who you promote to co-lead....That is an unacceptable solution as you can never truly know someone especially thru interactions thru an online game. For all we know, the perp may be the most trusted and respected and longstanding members.....It does not make sense to punish others for not policing something they do not have the tools to police.

The only surefire way to prevent this is to never promote any co leaders or never log out.....both impractical. Please find a better solution because I would hate for this to happen to me.

The "ban all" just seems to be the easy fix but it isnt a long term one.

Do you all even know what co-leader actually means ? The title by itself holds shared responsibility and not to be taken lightly. Banning everyone is the most appropriate measure for that case. Be thankful that it was not a permanent ban.

I agree with some of the opinions posted on here. If its a "anyone-gets-co" sort of clan, then SC needs to have a better criteria to decide who to give temp bans to. If someone has been co in the clan for a while, then perhaps he/she needs to share responsibility. But if someone became a co yesterday, and today a different co used an offensive clan desc and got the new co banned as well, then that should not be on.

Or after the warning, someone gave a nasty response to supercell so yall got banned anyway?

Bai monskee. Ayaw kompyansa sa imo coleads kung ikaw man ang leader. Happen to me once tungod sa kabuang ra pud. Ako colead pero di ko allowed sa leader na mag change sa description. Kay katilaw na mi ug ban.

Ikr... Completely rediculous. As usual supercell does an amazing job bringing justice... (Sarcasm)

Supercells ban hammer is not lightning speed. They did not ban you for what your description was at the monent you were banned. Someone had a screenshot of what your description had said at one point and they verified it through cache.

Im still on firm belief that coleaders are all responsible for what is in the description. If youre coleaders were not vigilant before, i bet they will be now. I bet there won't be inappropriate messages on your clan description from here on out, will there?

If thsi doesn't change your clans behavior, id recommend dropping your coleader status. If you cant stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
