donation troops not according the requested.

I joined my current clan recently. I don't request that often, but when I do, I specifically request for archers or wizard level 4 minimum for defense. Last week, I got, twice, giants! This week, I got archer level 3! And yesterday, barb level 3.

I complained to the leader, who is very nice btw, maybe too nice, who told me:
-low level troops are better than nothing (I am TH8, with level 5 troops)
-clan is very strict for donations for war, but not regularly donations
-lower villages are required to provide donations also
-lower villages need to be able to donate to earn experience points.

How would you react to this?

Personally, I find this a lack of respect, and that keeping newbies who donate crappy troops and who don't read instructions is dangerous, since ultimately they won't follow clan directives in war also. When I ran my previous clan, not respecting request is automatic boot after 3 infractions.

Different clans will have different requirements, which often depend on the clan's size. A leader with 10 members is less likely to kick disobedient players than a leader with 50 members. However, your inference that the action might carry over to clan wars isn't necessarily correct because if the member participates in clan wars, he will probably want to win. In addition, there is no experience reward or achievement reward for donating in clan wars, meaning the player would have no incentive anyway.

Our clan you can't specify lvls of troops you want and all requests (non war) have to include archers. That's just the clan rules and everyone accepts them.

If you don't want to receive low lvl troops then find a clan that has minimum troop levels or different clan rules.

You were a noob at one point. First clan I joined I asked if they wanted lvl 2 giants in the war castles since that was the best troop I had and I thought they were alright (clan obviously turned down my generous offer), and happily donated lvl 3 archers into normal cc's.

You joined his clan, you found out you don't like it, you leave...easy...I personally am in a similar clan, and request troops, knowing I will get crappy ones. If I really need good ones I text someone and say "I'm about to request, can you give me....?"

I agree you were new once and had them low lvl troops before theyre donating to you be grateful that your getting 25 more troops than you had before. If it bothers you that much leave and find a clan that suits your needs better no need to get angry or frustrated its a game after all

Please explain to me how can I be helpful to a newbie by accepting crappy troops? It makes no difference whatsoever in helping him in the game...but it does screw up my game play enormously. My donation ratio is not an issue here as i give out way more troops than receiving, and beside I am not asking the moon like dragon or witches...just lowly archers/wizard.

As for clan rules: I would expect that donating only what is requested should be the number 1 rule by all clans, and I have seen that stated in many clans description.

I can and do help newbies, by giving out, my good troops (I always give out at least one wizard 5...not just crappy 5 level 5 archers), helping him with base design and suggesting attacking strategies.

If that's what you think the number 1 clan rule is then join a clan that states that, you help out other members by making them feel like they contribute to the clan by donating and that they are involved in the game.

Personally I don't think you should be receiving giants if you requested archers/wizards but if the clan rules are can't specify troops or lvl then thats what it is.

Thanks for your reply. It is nice to have a relax attitude about the game. However, there are others, like me, who may take it a bit more seriously.

Most newbies don't know that they can't earn experience with giving out troop for cc defense in war. I find that they just want to help, and not to earn experience points, yet not knowing that they are not helping at all by giving out troops not according to request.

As for my inference that it can translate to war, it may or may not happen. We all want to win, but there are many people out there who makes a lot of mistake in war attack or who have bases with bad layout, yet would not listen the clan's suggestion on improvements. I had this clan mate who had her TH out and exposed for war. Had to tell her every war but she does not listen...of course her base is 3-starred every war...had to kick her after 3 wars.

You can be helpful to a "newbie" by making him feel welcome. He's not the newbie in this case though, you are.
If you want to alienate your clan members, then go for it dude. Having a stuck up, holier than thou attitude wouldn't be welcome in many clans, mine included. As far as your current clan goes, you're the newbie. The leader has it set up the way he wishes. If you don't like his rules, ♥♥♥♥ and find a clan that fits your requirements. Nothing is more irritating than a newcomer coming in and requesting/demanding changes.

My clan's rule for donations is a level 2 dragon for normal requests but we are an uber lax clan and war isnt a priority. My suggestion, look for a hardcore war clan. That way requests are met but expectations are high. If you mess up prepare to get kicked though.

Sure there are many ways to make new member/newbie feel welcome. I am still not sure how accepting crappy troops from someone make him feel welcome. On that note, next time you receive goblins and wall breaker in your cc, remember this thread. If you are still happy, so be it.

There's one guy who had level 3 giants and kept donating giants to everyone even though "archers" is the default donation. His own donation request was this, "Donate giants to me, to increase your friend in need requirement". It was obvious he knew what he was doing by not heeding to the requests and just giving giants, but he also wanted the donators to reach their achievement as well.

We kindly asked him a couple times to donate archers, and he obliged.

Getting giants for two donation requests is really not a big deal. Unless he did that when you requested level 3 dragon for war and got 5 giants lol and you have to wait another 20 minutes to rerequest.

I would strongly suggest you find a clan that meets your requirements and not try to change an established one you just joined to match what you want because chances are they won't.

Also I'm not sure where you are finding clans but searching on the forums you generally get much more information and I would guess on average the clans recruiting here would be more active then you picked out of a list on the game.

Look for min archers lvl5, donation default is archer and similar lines.

Actually I am not trying to change a rule in the clan, since there is no rule regarding donation. Just surprised about the leader's response, and its nonchalant nature. In my opinion, troops received in cc is a big part of the game. In fact, the cc troops provide the highest DPS among all defense buildings. It can also mean a win or loss or 200K extra resources in a raid.

Ultimately, the leader did agreed with my points. Yet I am not sure he would go all the way to boot someone for not respecting request. And no, he would never boot me, since I am a very valuable and respectful member and great troops contributor to the clan. I am not yet a co-leader or even an elder, however, if I find things that can improve the clan, I would not shy from suggesting to the leader. That is, in essence, the whole clan concept: clan mates helping each other and finding ways to make the clan better at the same time.

In my clan, you cannot request for specific troops or levels because of the exact same reason.

If this is the case, the best action to take might be to tell them, bluntly if necessary. Once they know they're not helping, they probably won't waste troops; if they continue to donate, demoting or kicking will have to ensue to reinforce the rules.

With due respect, I don't understand how this affects donations. Again, if the problem continues action has to be taken to preserve the protocol of the clan. From my experience, if clan members don't follow the rules they'll get a warning, sometimes a second warning, then a demotion/kick.

Aye, that would irritate me too.

In our clan we donate what is requested. Most people don't really care what goes into their castle (except for war attacks, then we're very particular), and we've never needed to boot anyone for donating the wrong troops. We have lower-level guys, and we have upper-level guys, yet everyone is able to donate, including our little guys.

In answer to those who ask how the newbies would be able to donate; they can donate to each other.

My clan donates very quickly, within minutes. Most give out archers 5 or 6. That newbie who donated barbs 3 was too quick. Not only he did not respect the request, but also prevent higher level troops from being filled.

Note that I have an alternate account also, that I use to donate myself wizards. I don't even need troops from my other clan mates. But the time it takes for me to log off and switch to my alternate account, that would ♥♥♥♥ me off of CC is being filled in the meantime by junks and I can't donate good troops to myself.

Anyway, my base got hit by 15 giants level 6 this morning. My CC has 4 wizards (donated by my mini) and the rest hi level archers. This had prevent loss of 200k 300k 1500 of ressources. If I had crappy level 3 troops in cc, my base would have been 3 starred. For those who think I should be happy with any donated troops, think again when your base is flattened because your received weak and unrequested troops in your CC.

We don't have any "special rules". We have a rule that everyone must donate what is asked, and if someone gets caught donating wrong troops often, he will get kicked. It's so simple. We don't require x amount of donations every season, it would just make things too complicated. As long as requests get filled quickly enough for your clan's liking, I would recommend not demanding certain amount of donations from everyone :)

When it comes to wars, only those who have the best troops can donate to war castles. This is another rule that everyone probably has, but it makes life easier when you know that you get those lvl 5 wizards and lvl 2 valks instead of a mixture of everything your barracks can offer. Same goes for war attacks, no archers and minions with gowipe when you can take another lvl 3 pekka to the battlefield.

Why not simply leave? I understand your frustration as it would bother me too but there are thousands of clans out there. Why not just find one with similar TH's at your level? It's a game and your not bound to any clan, nice leader or not. We are in clans (preferably strong) because they provide powerful troops and and can assist with you progressing in the game.

I would wish them all the best and move on and sorry, the leaders response is dumb. You ask for certain troops for a reason. I'd rather wait and get troops I need then get troops that are garbage. Why even waste your time with this...?

There are literally thousands of other clans.
Just move on and find a new clan.
