I agree with what you are saying, but if you actually wanted to pit your defense against someone else's offense you would be in a league where someone of your town hall belongs. If you have enough DE to be zapped that much you are clearly TH8 or above. If you are TH8 or above you belong in crystal 3 or above. If you are in crystal 3 or above people will snipe you for the loot bonus very quickly and you will rarely be zapped. You are being zapped because you are spending your time in a league where you don't belong trying to rob bases that are too weak to defend themselves from you. In other words, you are not pitting your offense against defenses that have even a half-way decent chance of defending themselves against you, but rather trying to prey on the weak that stand no chance against you. The weak do what they can and what they can do is zap.

I realize it is not entirely your fault. You are in low leagues preying on town halls one level below you because your prey is down there attacking people one level below them. If all the TH8's and above were in crystal and above (and the TH7's hung out in gold 1) we could all get great league bonus on every attack and still get just as much loot from raiding as well. But everyone hangs out super low where the league bonuses are too terrible to be worth sniping for and the result is that people zap without even bothering to attack your TH because the league bonus is worthless.

Some people just like to zap.... I often have spare zaps after a heavy BAM SESSION..... I have to use them somewhere when I want to build a heavy army and spells.... So I look for a big fat De tank..... The added bonus is that it annoys the whinger whiners, and means more troll food from them bicthing on the forums... win win situation for me.

The argument about them being unable to raid is rubbish... where you think they get all that elixir for zaps, not likely their collectors is it? Max zaps aren't cheap you know... ")

There are quite a lot of strong th9s and th10s in the gold leagues, i guess we are all doing the same thing, as you mentioned. I regularly attack th9s, th8s often dont have enough dark. It's just as often the strong players who lightning as the weak!

I spent a long long time as a th8 getting smashed by th9s with their level6 giants and queens. That was just part of the game and while you don't want to lose all your loot it was easy enough to accept the loss and move on (and attack a th7 :) ). Zapping seems different somehow, as in more annoying. It's not about the loot. I just lost 2500 dark when I switched to a black hole base and for the first time in a while it didn't work! Was good to watch and oh well I deserved it :)

Dark Zappers are fine, I quite like them. I'm happy if a hall sniper zaps me overnight.

They are much less dangerous and do not activate crazy re-arm costs a proper fellow TH10 raider would.

I'll cope I guess. Now have 187k de, almost all of the increase up from 175k funded by fellow th9s...

I did it and maxed him without zapping. It's a lot easier than you guys make it up to be
