Do more with the Popluation / Economy aspect of the game
I would suggest in future releases to consider weaving in some economic / education / civil responsibilities of the Clan.
Sort of like Solar Realms Elite years ago on the old bulletin board systems. In that game, much like the concept of CoC, you built your empire and attacked. However, you had to give some attention to your colony like food/education etc.. or that would cause tribe unrest.
perhaps your fighters wouldn't be as effective or could be slightly more effective.
I am not proposing making CoC into a sims game NO WAY...but add an element of differentiation. You could take the approach of all military but that may result in civil unrest which means your defenses may be slightly weaker (why would the clapping girls fight so hard to defend a leader which doesn't care for them?). Or you could put some of your resources to make your colony happy and they would defend better. This could or could not effect your attacking force strength...that would be something to consider to make the attacking just like it is today...however, you may not know what your are attacking??? it could be an unhappy clan making their defenses a tad weaker or a happy clan making the defense that much stronger.
I think this could add an element of depth to the game and some differentiation at the higher levels where it is hard to attack as you know exactly how the base being attacked will react (with the exception of their trap placement).
