Is Champion Broken?

Hi guys. Watched a very interesting vid on youtube last night about ♥♥♥♥ing and ♥♥♥♥♥ing in Champion league basically saying that due to sandbox and other ♥♥♥♥♥s it is a broken league? Just wondered genuinely what the thoughts are?
I have not gone beyond Master 2 yet (Lv 107) and hadn't planned on a push any time soon but it would be really disappointing if when i do get there it is awash with ♥♥♥♥♥ing.
What is the view of people who have been there not simply ranting from people who seem to moan here for the sake of it?

I only think it happens towards the upper reaches of champs, so if you just push to 3200 you wont be affected, I think it starts to become more common past 4000

Not sure about broken, but in the last hour above 4k. I have maybe seen 2 bases offering me 1 cup. Every ten mins or so, i get a msg saying "can't find a village to attk". Then i have to return home. May be time for me to drop.

Yeah raiding after a maintenance break in high champs lge is not a good idea other than in the very first few secs after the maintenance has finished and attacking is allowed again! After this every player is on the same 6 hour forced log off timer

Thats an old vid there, but yes. To an extent, all of champion league is broken.

The 'tools' you are talking about dont really gain anything, apart from convenience. If im pushing high, im perfectly capable of staying online for 6hrs at a time. It just involves some diligent screen poking.

If its the old chief pat vid youre talking about, some of the issues are resolved(ish). We have the break kick now, to stop people being online forever and never defending.

It is still fundamentally broken, but it is merely a product of play style and population.
Everyone wants to stay online for as long as possible, for maximum attacks and max trophy gain before a fairly inevitable defensive loss. Being as there are vastly fewer people in champion (compared to gold-master), with all of them defending as little as poss, it means no bases to attack.

On occasion more sinister che@ting occurs, but SC tends to shut it down real fast. Sadly, cheap shielding alliances and not needing to poke screen, look like they are here to stay.

Unless you plan on pushing past 3400 ish, you wont be affected much. Just be prepared to see really low 🏆 offers from 3100 upwards, as everyone above you is online all the time....

Get in real fast for one 30+ monster, then might as well wait for heroes to wake and log off. Offers will be even more awful than normal.

I did! Got a 27 cup offer straight away which gave me 18 cups with a 2 star then realised the mistake I had made waiting an hour to see about five 1 cup offers eventually took a 3 cup offer for 2 so I could log off, go on defence and try again later

On the plus side I won my defence for another 24 cups from a player who was obviously as frustrated as I was and rushed in recklessly when he saw a good cup offer!

Nice one. My favourite ever was the halloween update. They opened the game for 5 mins and closed it again for some glitch or other. Long enough to find me a 35. Mwahahahaaa.

I was planning to go back on about 5 an a half hours after the maintenance break hoping to pick up some juicy offers when people hit the 6 hour auto boot limit!

Unfortunately all these multiple maintenance breaks have thrown me as to when is gonna be best time to raid again
