Levels - Do they mean anything?

I am a TH9 with max defence and a few lego walls, and am level 104. My Friend in Need is 27k, due to the fact I only joined a clan around TH7/8. I have created this thread as I was wondering to myself, as I pondered going to TH10, 'If I go to TH10 as a level 104, my level will not aline with my TH and base development.' I see many TH9's with the roughly the same base as me, yet they are level 110+. This annoys me, because as people look at my profile, a level 104, I will not be deemed as high as those who are level 110, even if their base is not as developed as mine. This then comes down to the question: Does your level even mean anything? Would you rather have a low level and a well developed base or a high level yet a not so developed base? Is it all about your base? Is it all about level?
Personally I would love to have a high level, as it would just look awesome to be level 120 and beyond, however I physically can't donate enough to reach those levels due to the clan I am in, and do not want to join a Request and Leave clan as I am currently leading a clan, and joining one of those clans would also interfere with my farming, as I would not have full army camps the majority of the time due to donating.

The way I see it; Your level is a culmination of your base/troops and your donation levels and therefore a good indicator of your worth.

Just my opinion.

they mean nothing

Levels have no use, other than a sort of "trophy" that shows how long you have been playing.

Agreed, but should those players in a Request and Leave clan with ridiculous 20,000 donations per season be deemed higher than me even if my base is better?

Level alone means nothing. ... its very easy to get high level through troop donation or smashing th repeatedly on the goblin trail....

To work out how good a player is, you need to check the full profile, and see how they achieved their level. .......

They don't meen anything but I'm sad that SC didn't put some level requirements for certain leagues like below!

Crystal leagues, L85+
Master leagues, L95+
Champion league, L110+
4000troophies+, L140+

Any idea on how that would work?

Telling out how generous you are for your team. That if you value the social aspect of the game. Otherwise, you can play solo too.

Your level would seem a bit low, you just get a feel for 'ordinary' kind of levels for base/profile strength.
The answer would be in friend in need.

Doesnt sound like youre overly generous at 27k donated so far.

A strong th9 that has spent most of their game time in a clan, and with some activity, i would expect at least 50-100k.
