Hey members of the forums I'm currently a th8 and am looking for advice on upgrading my collectors. IM a level 71 with maxed out splash defence and I'm working on single targets. My collectors are fairly weak all my elixir pumps are level 9 and my mines are mostly 9 some 10 and 1 11. I'm aware of the new level 12 collectors and was just wondering if I should max them out before upgrading to th9 thx for the advice to whoever responds.
Welcome to the forums! I personally would upgrade them, they would be more efficient in the long run. They probably will help you more at TH9!
thx for the advice and quick response thats also what I was thinking I'll probably need a bit more loot coming in since th9 upgrades are very expensive

I've been trying to decide the same thing although my splash is at mX th7 level not 8
I'm a TH8 too with the same level as you are.
I'm in the process of maxing them out right now, all started at level 8.
It just makes sense to me to max them because if you think about it, the more you delay it, the more free resources you waste.
With goldmines lvl 12, you will get
3500 x 6 x 24 = 504 000 gold/day
3500 x 6 x 24 x 7 = 3 528 000 gold/week
3500 x 6 x 24 x 31 = 15 624 000 gold/month
3500 x 6 x 24 x 365 = 183 960 000 gold/year
With lvl 9 goldmines, you will get
2200 x 6 x 24 = 316 800 gold/day
2200 x 6 x 24 x 7 = 2 217 600 gold/week
2200 x 6 x 24 x 31 = 9 820 800 gold/month
2200 x 6 x 365 = 115 632 000 gold/month
You get
187 200 more gold/day
1 310 400 more gold/week
5 803 200 more gold/month
68 328 000 more gold/year

I personally upgrade them as much as possible. I've had maxed gold mines and elixer pumps since a long time ago (maybe when I was only level 60?) and TH8. That was when lv12 haven't been released yet, but still helped so much in the mornings, especially being a badly rushed TH8 at the time. When lv12 were released, I focused all my energy into them. They stink to do, 5 days for level 12 each, but those 5 days w/ maxed out builders means your storages get pretty full in that time, so as soon as you upgrade them (5 at a time for me, all 5 builders), so it takes me 3 times to upgrade them all, 6 mines 6 pumps. I am still in the process of upgrading them, but I'd had a lot more elixer efficiency coming from them so far, with all of my pumps upgraded to max. They give you a lot more efficiency, and you only have to wait 58 days to get your money back for one. Not a lot, considering we've been playing this game a lot more than a couple of mos. and you get more in the moment, so it seems like you're getting more back on day one.

If you plan on playing the game for another 6-9 months (ie: want to eventually go to th10 at some point) then do them now
If you have enough ressources then do deff first. If your builders get idle then start doing mines.
We also get several boosts throughout the year. These numbers would be slightly higher. Guessing at least 2 weeks worth combined boosting.Quote:

You have to remember there's only so much gold you can acquire at every th lvl due to the storage cap.
At th9, you need so much gold/lix that it is a big mistake not to max them.
Max them out asap! A lot of players don't upgrade em cuz they raid for all their loot but you should still upgrade em. In the long run you will be amazed by how much free passive loot you've earned from them.
If I were you, I would upgrade splash first. W/o good def (and splash is a the main part of it) you won't be able to keep all that extra loot.Quote:

The sooner you upgrade them, the more they will pay off in the long run.
There is no reason not to upgrade your collectors, but they are not a high priory. If you find you are questioning what to upgrade next, it sounds like it is time to start working on them, but they should all be maxed before you even consider going to TH9.
Anyone who tells you to upgrade them, just wants to raid you ;)
