Should i get golems or nah?

Im th8 have valks, have only 1 dark barracks and am nearly done with th8. However i can get golems but if i do ill be left 7 days without dark troops(i rely on hogs for wars) unless i buy another dark barracks then upgrade that which will cost roughly 3000000 elixir. is it worth it? Please respond, it only takes half a minute :)
PS:i will not be using gowipe as i do not use wizards.

Don't upgrade/research troops that you are not gonna use.

well im not sure if they will prove useful or not.

I think you should get Golems and to not rush past your level 8 walls and if you can muster the time get your Golem upgraded. You'll hit Th9 and need Golems and pretty quickly, leveled up Golems.

Exactly. It's a lot easier to get stars on other th9's if you have golems. I really can't imagine going to TH9 without them. My main account is a new TH10 and I used golems all the time as a TH9.

I hope this rationale helps you: lots of challenges with using hogs against a TH9. Attacking a TH9 base that has a leveled queen in the middle, and lots of open 2x4 spaces near the core, is pretty risky with hogs. Unless you're an excellent hogger, can execute terrific hog pathing, and can distract the queen by getting her attacking another troop (king, skeletons, or golem work well) instead of your hogs. You may also want to rage around the queen since she shuts down hogs very fast.

If the base has a lvl15+ queen near the core, then you may want to call off the hogs all together.

Yep, get the golems. You'll be happy you did. Since you like hogs already, they can really aid your hog raids, too!

And, best of luck on TH9 whenever you do decide to take the plunge!

Yes, you need golems, best choice i made, i now 2-3 star every base with gowipe even TH10's has a th8.

Definitely get golems up before you go to TH9. Definitely get your second barracks at least as far as hogs asap. I'm not sure what sort of decisions you're making, but if you've only got one DB then get a 2nd, and once you've got that doing minimum of what you need upgrade the first to get those golems.
