DE farming strat?

So I want to farm some of my de troops up (including the barb king) for wars and such.
I'm th8, what strat do you use for efficient de farming?
I am tight on elixir - so I don't really want to use spells. I heard of one using giants, but can't remember it.

My troops
Level 5 - Archers,Wizards,Barbs, Wallbreakers
Level 4 - Giants, heal spell, Rage(in 4 days)
Level 3 - balloons, Barb king
Anythig after is pretty much troops I don't use or troops I haven't upgraded enough (drags, pekkas - dark troops)

Yeah sorry, I can't find anything myself. - maybe giants + wallbreakers?

I find Barching in gold 2 effective for me. But I only get like 250-300. Also I know this is looked down on but I would highly recommend zapping DE storages. It really helps a lot as it can give you 800-1k DE in an hour and a half. I make about 8-10k DE per day using barch + zapping

Level 5 Barch works in g1-2 just fine. So far i've done my Golems from 1 to 3, Witches, Hogs, Queen from 1 to 10. I very often find bases with at least 1k and often from 1200-2k. I lose trophies farming for DE because I usually commit my whole army to getting to the storage. I'll snipe if I need to stay in G1. I'm moving on to Loonion and moving to Masters soon.

My clan mates suggested I use balloonion (that's what they use).
Is that a good comp too use? Or should I try the giant comp?

For DE I use Balloonion with either 28 balloons or 32 Balloons, for you i suggest 32 balloons since they are lower level and use 2 rage 1 heal. Get the Balloons to level 5 ASAP

Planning on it
Gotta snipe to gold 1 first
Currently at 1300 trophies - I want to be 1600+

Balloonian is good but it isn't anywhere near as efficient as Barch, in time or elixer

I would BARCH.
But I want to take all the de that is located around the center.

Barch is most efficient and most profitable for gold and elixir but is a much weaker strat for de since it is often most protected.
And i usually go up to around 2050 trophies for constant Dark Elixir balloonion raids, it is just my sweet spot for de
