Reinforcing troops. Why or why not?
This has been an idea that has been brought up quite a few times.
Essentially it is where you requeue up the same army composition you used before.
People want a way to do this.
I also have seen people request reinforcing in the same way as Boom Beach. However reinforcing wouldn't be done the same way as boom beach. Boom beach has Boats that you fill up with one type of troop. If you go into a battle, don't lose those troops of that particular boat you can come back to your docks and you could "refill" that boat with those lost troops. I have only played Boom Beach so much so if I explained it wrong please correct me.
The problem with reinforcing in CoC is that you can't simply reinforce army camps like you do boats. Unless there is a preset Army Composition you have set up. So when there is such a preset your barracks can train troops according to that preset and to train the proper amount of troops you wanted. I hope that makes sense.
In in that way, you could "reinforce" your army even when you didn't use them all in one attack.
To to make it bit clearer, let's say you have an Army of 100 archers, and 100 barbs and 6 Wall breakers.
that would be your army preset as an example.
when you go to attack you only use 67 archers, 40 barbs and 4 wall breakers.
There would be a button you could use to reinforce that army preset back up to their preset amounts or just remake the entire army if you used them all.
Now with all that said about the idea that I've seen requested quite a few times before, I wanted to see the reasons why this should or shouldn't be a feature.
The reason I didn't post this in the idea feature requests section is that this idea has been requested many times and I felt the discussion as to "why or why not" part was more important than the idea.
