They're basically unusable now because of skeleton traps
hogs are still the best troops in the game and used to 3 star bases all the time. dont listen to any ♥♥♥♥♥♥s saying they are useless, those people only know how to spam their troops without a plan

Depends on level of hogs and what th9 level you are going for. Level 4 hogs used to be able to 3 a strong th9....not anymore....but max th9 can be taken down with max hogs with heroes and a max golem used to distract heroes and defences. It takes learning but it works. Also there are people findung success with using baloons with hogs. Sending loons to lure cc and take out a few defences in process. Then distracting defences while hogs roam. Hogs have also been used with dragons to clear out AD since all other Air towers are likely targeting drags.

You can't spam bases with hogs. You may need to release them in two separate places so that they converge elsewhere - you need to check carefully which way they are going to go.....
You need to select where best to drop the heal spells..... before you attack. It may go pear shaped but you have to have a plan before you start.
Finally - hogs take practice. They require quick thinking when things go wrong....
Ignore what others are saying about them being low level - try them & have fun. You do need to chose appropriate bases though.
I can't use them in mass any more, try HoLoWiWi instead!

the only brain-dead atk existing now (IMO) is mass drags @TH7

Yea right. Hogs are still mega OP. Lamest troop in the game to use. They got speed, damage, health, ignore freaking walls, and take up very little housing space. Upgrade the hogs and any noob is nailing 3 stars almost every single time.
I would expand their housing space and reduce either their speed or damage.

I'm a close to maxed th8 and got 3 starred by level 4 hogs. Then I moved my giant bombs around to have two right next to each other, took out about 15 hogs and the guy only got one star. Basically a double giant bomb trap will decimate most hog raids. Also spring traps are a killer.
Same, I stopped using mass hogs after the nerf. But i still use them for luring out the cc during trophy pushing and clan war:cool:
Thay are still good you just have to actually strategize about how to use them it can't just be a spam an wait for 3 stars.
