Newspaper rehashing old advertisements

If the ad for something you sold a week ago suddenly re-appears randomly in the paper while you are in the middle of selling (privately) to your friends, you have a sudden swoop of uninvited customers and wonder where they came from.

I've been trawling through the paper tonight. It confirms everything these screenshots show, I'm even starting to recognise loads of the ads, there are so many repeat ones.

As far as I know, no one who has complained about the ninja raids has reported a staggering increase in their daily visitor numbers. There is still a strong possibility that by placing goods for sale, the program is creating ads - thus the appearance of the ninjas - but the particular advertisements that are being shown on this thread are something in their own realm. These ads are being placed up to x2 in 30 minutes.

I have tried to have my farm "caught" in $upcells algorithm by advertising x10 Duct Tape for base price and deliberately advertising same. It was sold immediately along with several other items, however I noticed no increase in visitor number, likes or even followers.

Possibly both the unwanted buyers and the repeating ads with high visitor statistics are caused by the same programming problem but only ♥♥♥♥♥♥cell can answer that question.

The moderators of this forum have asked that a new thread be created when the repeating ads were brought up in the other thread in order for ♥♥♥♥♥♥cell to more clearly identity problems. Thus, we are complaining about two problems - whether they share the same programming origins or not.

Problem 1: unwanted visitors buying our goods immediately once placed in our stalls unadvertised

Problem 2: repeating newspaper advertisements being readvertised a staggering number of times which renders the DD useless

Thankyou for the reminder, Lindystarr. That's very true, Nick did say that in the other thread.

My research has found that 99% of the advertisements for tools/expansion goods in the DD are just bogus repeating ads.

And there is Alot of ads in this category. I have enough images in just the last few days to probably fill this thread to 50 pages!

That answer, after what I have discovered, just makes ♥♥♥♥♥♥cell look ignorant.

Please post as many of the bogus ad farm stats as you can. It's the only way we can hope to gain SC attention to the problem.

Update. Although when the new update was first completed there were no strange ads in the paper, and I was actually able to grab a few items ( and sell for a while in my stall to friends only) I am now noticing they seem to be creeping back in. No huge numbers yet ( which is logical if the problem updated itself, too!) but have noticed 2 or 3 farms like this. I think this one was selling land deeds, but when I went back to check the paper had refreshed! Also a Comi's farm was selling 3 nails and had over 4000 visits.

I found one today too... 2 shovels, same seller, and when you try to move from one ad to the other you can't... because you are already in it!!
