Holiday gem sale?!

I play other games besides COC and most games have an in game currency sale. 40% off sounds nice.

1. Will we be receiving a gem sale?

2. What are other people opinions on a gem sale?

I am guessing that by having a gem sale gem sales should increase probably 4x as much as normal so it would be good for supercell, in addition it would allow players to stockpile some gems and perhaps finish some of those upgrades we all try so desperately to accomplish!!!!

I personally have never bought gems but if they were say 40% off or a 40% increase in number of gems for a first time buyers discount i would strongly lean twords making my first gem purchase,

While I highly doubt there will be a discount on all purchases (people can stockpile gems when they're cheap and possible cause SC to get less profits in the long run), it would be interesting to see a sale limited at 1 purchase. People could buy 500 gems at half price once which might encourage new players to buy again in the future after they get addicted to gemming upgrades

Yes i play a game that has a first time buyers bonus where they double your gems but only for the very first purchase on that account. Good idea

I don't think that they have any intentions for a gem sale

People still buy gems without a discount, why on earth would a company intentionally lower profits?

I dont know i mean i wont buy gems at their current price ever, but if they were lower i would.
I'm sure im not the only one who feels this way.

$99.99 for 14000 gems that i can use in 20 mins or less
or $59.99 for a new xbox game that will last alot longer than 20 mins......

just saying at the very least a first time buyers discount WOULD be nice.

In the case that gem sales really does happen, it's a clue that the gem sales is having problem, thus the game itself is in danger.

Nope, i dont it will happen, they never have had a sale on gems of any kind.

The thing is "other games" have this model but for some reason it doesn't make them the number one grossing game worldwide for 2 years !

What SC do do is offer discounted boosts which IMO is a more fun thing as it makes people more active - my clan loves it.
