Hello Supercell ,
I have a problem with opening Clash of Clans on my Android Device .
When I click on The App it says "Downloading Content" AND
IT JUST REFRESHESH OVER AND OVER AGAIN
If you have or now a solution for this problem ,
Please respond.

On Apple iTouch, game keeps trying to restart. Deleted the game and reinstalled but the same problem is still there. Players are in the middle of the war and can't play!!!!!!!!!
When I start up Clash of Clans after the Elixir pump and barracks 1 gem event update on 12/22/2014 PST It keep saying "Downloading Content" then restarting the game, and it keeps doing this over and over.

- Downloading Content/Restart Loop: Please try force quitting the app and restarting the game. Switching from wifi to data and vice versa may also help. Please let us know if that does not solve your issue.

Out of the question:
- I cannot connect from wifi to data because I don't have data on my phone

That is nice, but this is not the WiFi loop bug that most of us are experiencing. This recently started after the last update. The supercell screen toggles back and forth between the loading screen and the supercell logo screen. It has nothing to do with the WiFi. This started after the recent update. Most tablets are effected. Some smart phones are not affected. My Samsung Galaxy Tablet is effected but my Motorola Droid is not.
I have been trying to log back in since this morning, 6am Pacific. I originally saw there was maintenance, so waited until Maintenance post was updated with "completed".
I attempt to open the application (AND THIS IS TRUE on BOTH iOS/iPad and Android - both are linked to my account/village)
...and I see the Clash winter splash screen, with a progress bar labeled "Downloading content". It shows about 1-3% progress, then it immediately reboots, recycles to the SUP ERC ELL splash screen. And the loop continues with dramatic opening sound, and the SUP ERC ELL splash screen repeating ad infinitum until I shut the app down. I have rebooted my devices several times, to no effect.
Help me help me. Please.

worked for me :)
For me the only thing that worked was connecting to a different network. On my phone I shut off the wifi and connected via 4G and it worked. Then when I went back on wifi it still worked. For my iPad I had to hop on a neighbor's wifi connection, at which point it worked. Then when I went back on my wireless connection, it still worked. A very strange problem/solution but at least I can play now.
