I maxed everything at TH9 except for gold/elixir collectors, DE drill, Valkyries/Healers/Goblins (I never use them) and only have a few Skull walls to finish up. My clan goes to war 24/7 so Im really eyeing up the freeze spell so I was thinking that the spell factory should be one of my first upgrades? But I also feel the camps are very important to go from 220 to 240. Am i really crazy if I upgrade those before getting my 2 infernos and extra xbow?
I haven't personally experienced this but, a friend of mine rushed to TH10 and the only things he had maxed was TH7 defences and only added the new structures until he got to 10. I would say it took him several months of constant work to get up to par. He was almost forced to spend actual money, roughly 500$ I believe because he bought the 6500 gems several times to play "catch up". I think since you have defenses maxed you will be fine though, because he was way behind where you're at. However, he is caught up now, and about half done with defences and his troops are all just about maxed.
Particularly if you war upgrading offense will be more beneficial to matchmaking. Infernos carry a pretty hefty weight and most people when they upgrade th get stuck at a point where their defensive strength is higher then their offense (they couldn't attack their own base and win) which can make warring at a new th level difficult.
That being said you have multiple builders and if you are saving up the 35M elixir or so for those upgrades you are going to have some gold laying around, why not do them at the same time?

I would advise you to upgrade everything I regret I didnt upgrade all the walls to lvl 10 because th10 isnt fun.
Getting the freeze spell is nice but it isn't worth using until after it's been upgraded a few times. Before moving to 10 I would at least get your heros to 15 each. The camps are also a must right off the bat. The thing that's rough about 10 is there are a lot of upgrades needed in order to actual pull your weight as a Th10 in wars. I made the mistake of going a little early and it's taken awhile to get camps, heros, and troops to the level needed to be able to help clan in wars. You will want those inferno's asap as they are a huge help in defending other 10s

If they are both 15+, that would be okay.
AQ is 8 BK is 10. Problem is I'm #1 in my clan and get paired with almost all TH10s with 2 Infernos. They can usually only 2 star me because they are premie 10s but I struggle to get any stars against them.
I just got to town hall 10 ten days ago and it has been great. You should have no problem buying your camps within a week if that is the only thing you are going for. I bought both infernos and upgraded them both to level 2. I got my clan castle going and the new xbow built and have upgraded 3 of the 4 camps and have 7 million elixir right now waiting for my builder to free up. So if you just upgrade camps you should get them in no time. Good luck!!
