Clan Wars match making system keeps giving me bad wars, please help

This week isn't the worst but it's enough of a mismatch we can't win again. I don't understand what to do to give us a better shot in war. It's enough of amismatch this week that the enemy clan is writing messages with their walls saying how we suck and naming targets 10 spots above them on the map. Can anyone smart help me I want to do war but it is getting harder to keep my clan interested each slap in the face they receive.

I have a couple of premies whom are people I don't want to give up because they are great people. I also have many TH8 that I am teaching gowipe to so they just have dragons. Opposing clan has higher levels, no premies and all have updated troops. Please tell it to me straight don't worry about my feelings. Where am I failing, what should I do?

That's the thing about premies, they cause a lot of problems in war matching. The best solution is to kick them out if you want better matches. But if you can't do that, you just have to sacrifice and be the weaker clan.

Yep, don't allow premies to war with you.

You could cut down member size, but like you said loyalty is key. Just take the hits right now, or not war for now not until they can up their troops and strategies

We suffered from this same problem, without the insults.

When it comes to war you have to either be serious or not. If you aren't serious then your under leveled team mates will get stomped by the serious maxed ones.

Edit: Our solution was to split the clan into two parts and made a serious dedicated war clan. More stringent rules for who gets to join, and everyone HAS to attack no matter what. Unless of course it is completely hopeless

Yeah that's what I thought.. What about filling my last 15 spots with low levels can that be successful? The thing is all of the enemies bases are higher level and not premie so it's an epic mismatch. I am not prepared to kick great members to win war.. There must be others like me I just wish the match maker would give it a few hours to find a good one.

When confronted with a similar situation, we formed a Chill clan which acts as a place for our preemies who we don't want in war to go, along with people who are on vacation, farming, taking a break, etc and don't want to war. Our leader has two accounts and has one in each to facilitate ease of changing clans. You could also form a separate clan exclusively for the elites of your existing clan to go to to war, invitation only. Same concept, but in reverse.

Failing that, the best thing your preemie players can do for war matchmaking is to be disproportionately good attackers for their TH level. So encourage them to upgrade their troops intelligently (TH8 get dragons to 3 asap, TH9 start practicing GoWixx and upgfrade those troops) and use the lab to the best advantage of the war effort.

Ultimately you have to balance war efforts against people's desire to remain in the clan. If war is your main priority, don't allow yourself to lose strong players so weaker ones are happy. If peace and harmony are more important, consider either warring less often, or start offering opposing clans the "let's both have our 1 and 2 put their townhalls out and tie, 2-2 with all attacks being snipes and share the loot".

Most clans are poorly run because managing people is difficult. And it is.

premies, and larger number of warring members do seem to mess with the matching accuracy, but i'd also say search time is the biggest factor.

i forget the post, but i remember a forumer posted a thread about the matching algorithm, and how he suspected it worked, and he basically said after every 5 or so minutes of search time the parameters for an acceptable match get stretched alil, so the longer u wait, the higher degree of difference is allowed.
which suggests that should u restart the search for war every 5-10minutes there should be very little mismatching being.
ofc that is all theory and not proven fact, but i will note since trying it out in the clan i'm in, we have been finding better, or more accurate matches.

Thanks for all the suggestions I think I have a better understanding where I am failing now.. And I will no longer lets search go beyond 5 minutes to see if that helps. You guys are great, thanks for all the replies.
