Is time really money? | Gems worth spending?

Boost the barracks witches makes the troops what u use while go out attacking.
For myself I always boost spells and heroes. That gives me every 30 min a full army over 4k+ cups:p

U will never reach top 200 (even in your region) within 2 years if u don't spend money.

I spend 5 bucks a week boosting barracks for the entire week so I can farm lvl 10 walls... it goes from 2-3 to 4-6 so using gems is worth it in my opinion.

So when people ask me why I spend 5 bucks a week on on a free cell phone game. The answer is why do you spend 15 bucks at the movies, or 10 bucks at McDonalds, or 40 bucks at the bar.....it's entertainment. 5 bucks a week is a bargain.

For Farmers

Collector boosts are only worth it if it's a 1 gem boost, regular collector boosts are a rip off.

I only use spells in war so unless you want to get 2 attacks in ar short amount of time spells boosts are not worth it.

I boost hero healing rates along with barracks so I can use them In my attacks...hero boost are worth it only if you boosts barrack also.

Depends on which country you are in...
I did not spend any money to reach top 50 in my country.

Save them for your builders until you have all 5. Otherwise boost your barracks when you are farming or finish long upgrades.

Times sure have changed. Back when I was growing up in the 80's and 90's, we used to go to these things called arcades.

Games like Metal Slug, Smash TV, even Street Fighter....

Those things were designed to eat your quarters.

gems are worth it, if u are...
boosting barracks, so gemming = more play time

are a beast farmer and constantly have enough DE to upgrade your heroes, before the time is complete
so gemming time on heroes, to keep them going at a faster rate... AND YOU LIVE FOR WAR (as i do)

however anything else, the answer is no, gemming defenses or troops to completion is kinda pointless, since all it does is make you end up with idle builders as you farm walls/heroes.

Gems help you progress through the game, but what's the rush? If I gem a cannon, it will weigh me down in war, presumably so that I am matched up against a similar base. If I were chasing trophies, gems would help, but alas I have yet to find value in trophies.

Gemming the last hour or so of an upgrade is tempting, but inefficient.

I use my gems for spells and lab upgrades. Also for flexibility with hero upgrades and a fixed weekly war schedule.

I used to buy an Xbox game every month. I sat down to play Xbox last night for the first time in 6 months, lol, because Clash has largely replaced it.

And since I did not buy a new Xbox 1 or PS4, Clash has saved me a ton of money.

So, I drop $20 every once in awhile on Clash and feel frugal....
