How do YOU farm for elixer?

I'm a new th10. Ive been using barch and taking a few hogs to lower my elixer investment and increase the ROI. Playing mostly for the loot bonuses in crystal 2.anyone doing anything creative?

I don't farm for elixer at all. I haven't seen such a resource.

Just barching gets the job done. No need to waste DE on hogs.

Barch is a popular strategy for looting elixir at TH10. Though some players use bam. TH10 is a much harder grind than previous TH levels. You will get there eventually.

I have trouble too, but if you really want to get elixer and don't care about gold, you can sit in Crystal 2/1 or masters 3 and skip until you find a TH snipe, which will give you a big bonus and u don't use any elixer at all. Other than that I'd say BAM or Loonion and target 400k elixer bases (and win, so u get the bonus too!)

If you have Lev 7 Barbs and Archers, and Heros 15+, I'd say Barching in Masters 1 is the ticket. The bonus is really nice (100k/100k/500), and you can still occasionally get a TH snipe or abandoned base to farm.

Another thing you can do as a temporary fix (if you are only focusing on elixir for a few days), is all minion attacks in Crystal 3. This approach works best with boosted Dark Barracks and boosted Heros. I used this to get my Lev 7 Giant upgrade and 2nd Dark Barrack final upgrade. Look for ADs that are tucked inside, and a lot of outskirts buildings. Go for the 50% for a still decent bonus of 65k/65k/300. Be on the lookout for TH snipes too. Best part is, you use no elixir. The hit to your DE is fairly minimal as well.

I find it a bit better, specially if I am going after 1 resource, to build most of my troops from the other resource.

I farm at C2 . Use all 6 barracks , 17 mins building time . 8 giant 8 WB 33 Barb 66 archer 8 hogs 20 minions . I used DE for trade off saving elixer . Invest around 50-60 K elixer per raid . Loot bonus is 50K ,so brake even if you win . I only boost AQ and 2 barracks per 2 hrs if I have time. I gain 1-2 mil elixer per day . so I plan 7 days ahead to save up for 8 mil upgrade , not to buy wall with elixer .

I barch from gold 2 to crystal then drop back and do it again. I wasn't having much luck at higher cup levels. Armies can be elixer costly so I try to get the most bang for my buck. I'd rather barch for a 70k profit then have a giant army and find a base worth less than the cost of troops.

I can barch at C2 but I must use stronger troops at C1. I use 12 hogs, 80 archers and 80 barbs plus heros. When using hogs+barch the build time is less than 15 minutes. Before I start the next attack I start the next build so there are troops waiting for me after I get back from the previous raid.
