New th10 farming help

Ok so I'm a new th10 and I'm trying to farm elixir for troop upgrades Im in c1 at the moment trying to get to masters thinking the loot bonus will be worth it.. The problem im having is with barch or bam I really struggle to get 50%.. I'm thinking it will be easier when ive got lvl 7 archers/ barbs but I'm struggling to get loot and I keep loosing raids so would it be better for me to farm a lower trophy ranger or use difrent troops? Could anyone advise me on how to farm for a new th10?
