Farming DE as a TH8

So.. I think I'll be needing (a lot) more DE in the near future. Things get easier with the 2nd DE drill, but still it's just 2160 DE a day, minus that which is being raided / used.

So, I've got some questions about raiding DE as a TH8. I'll be needing it mainly for my BK, which means I will have to be able to hold 40k DE. My storage is maxed so that's not an issue.

My main questions:
What army should I use?
Should I farm with units, or just ZAP DE? (What should be my main DE source?)
What Trophy range should I be in? (currently 1450 trophy's)

Details about me and my base:
The base is built to defence DE as good as possible (IMO), if you have a great layout, don't hesitate to tell me! (if you want)
I can raid for about 3 hours a day, but it will increase a lot from tomorrow on, because I have a holiday for two weeks.
At this point, I mainly use Barch to raid.

Any other advice is very welcome. If there is more info required please ask.

Use barch from 1000 to 1300 getting 300 to 500 then switch to Giants and wb and go for 800+. gold 2 and up you will have to use spells too. You need to skip bases your unsure of.. It isn't that much nexting don't settle for a maybe.

Barch. In mid to high gold.


Or the other 50% will argue Barch/collector farming is useless. So just giant/goblin raid DE storages. Whichever you find easier.
Again, just Barch. Carry lightning and use it to take out splash defence if needed but most of the time to just zap a good storage.

Trophy range-1700 up.. crystal 3 would be best for that league bonus but get ready to be hit on by TH9s.

Army- 16 giants 8 wbs 20 gobs then archers and maybe some barbs. If you can aask for wizards in your CC. Great to raid with and aalso protect your loot.

Zapping isn't that good IMO but there some who do it.. u can take easy way or u can actually raid it and Gain some skills

I use 114 goblins or less, 40 archers or more, 6 giants or more, 8 wallbreakers or more. Works very well for me, I don't really understand why people don't use goblins, they're the cash cows of coc. Also don't zap 😡, zapping is for noobs...no offense to all zappers reading this.

What about the trophy range?

Go to cristal 3 or two for DE bonus,
zap when you find a 2k+ DE loot
and then i would use a giant/healer association to reach the core of the camps, together with archers and goblins to destroy buildings, steal above wall with archers, steal with gobs in ressoucce buildings.

worked great when i was at thal level, it many things have changed since then, so you'd better try diffrent compo. from what is proposed and choose the one you are more confortable with.

Barch silver 1 Gold 3, with th7 having the drill there is now more de to farm as a th8

I've been barching in Gold 1 for the last week, and I've been picking up lots of DE. It's got my BK up to level 7, and now he's on this way to level 8.

Try some archers to clean up buildings and get drills inside walls.
