i have
584 defense wins with lvl8 and some lvl9 walls after almost 2 years of playing (400ish dollars invested total)

vs the #1 worldwide player with
227 defense wins with lvl10+11 (!!) walls after how many weeks (maybe months) of playing?

and yes, I do know it's a pay to win game but those stats just opened my eyes how much money u do have to invest to get up there which is disgusting me to some degree.

I have 524, I've been playing for 2 years as of yesterday...

Money and time help you get to the leaderboards, but also incredible skill, motivation and support.

People who pay contribute more to this game than you ever will.

They soley contribute into the net earnings of the company. U know the pc-game dota? That's where u need incredible skills without spending a cent for the game but certainly not in clash of clans. all u need here is a plathora of money.

dont get me wrong, I wish supercell to drown in money (which they are already for years). All iam championing here is the huge discrepancy in the clash of clans leaderboard.

id realy wish to see some sort of handicap for highrollers. like, the faster they build (=money), the more points they need to raise their leaderboard points for a certain period per gem invested. Something in this direction would make coc shine out of all pay to win games. U could still build faster but ud still have to earn your ranks somehow.

By all means, a farmer can get on the leader boards. I did. But their base has nothing to do with it, you might win the odd defense, but ultimately, its offence.

Your're certainly not going to stay #1 very long without a lot of time on your hands.

Not quite sure what OP is trying to proof here...
The current #1 have 700 million gold grab and >5000 multiplayer battles won.. which mean he did play/farm quite a bit before pushing to the top.

You don't get high defense win by staying in champs. I played for almost 2 years and have 400 defense win. Probably 90% of the time my TH is outside which means I rarely gets any defense win unless I am pushing.

Low defensive wins could mean money, but it also could mean the player is smart enough to put his town hall out like any decent farmer would do. I haven't gotten any defensive wins in months. Everyone that attacks gets my town hall at the very least.

I have played for 2 years, and used 200-300 dollars, and my heroes, and base are maxedout. Walls we be done in 12 weeks. So you dont have to use 10.000 dollars to get a maxedout base. If i wanne try to go very high, like top 200 it gonna cost me 100 dollars(if i got the skills :p) but its possible
