[War Balancing]: Making CW a better experience
I know you might think that "Oh this is just another complaint about Wars even though its fine". No its not a complaint, but a highly suggested suggestion ;). So my clan, War Whales has been warring back to back, but, maybe its just me, there seems to be a shortage of clans that want to war. We never get matched up with clans our strength. So I am here writing some suggestions how Supercell should improve this game without making it too easy or boring. In fact, I think this will rejuvenate many peoples interests in Clash of Clans to make this game a more enjoyable game.
What are you ideas Digit?
Well I have a few suggestions that will not completely make Wars overpowered, but simply favored over farming.
1. Making the rank you attack and numbers of stars you get on that person more relevant to the amount of loot you get.
For example, if I am 18 in war and I 3 star 13, then I'd get 400,000k x 1.3% or something among those lines. (Not a big numbers guy or good at balancing numbers). This will encourage full on attacks instead of barches and townhall snipes as well. For lower bases, there is no penalty.
2. Heroic Attacks and Heroic Defenses:
These guys, regardless win or lose, should get a loot bonus as well. The "Most Heroic" should be up there for a reason. These guys should get a x1.7% loot increase to their loot they already are getting.
3. Losing side receives more loot
This is a feature that is needed in Clash to not get the Clan that lost to get too depressed about losing wars. This should not be a thing that can be exploited, rather it should depend on the number of stars and attacks used by the clan that lost. If for your example, a 40 member clan used 10 attacks, then deservedly, no one should get loot. On the other hand, if a 40 member clan used 30 attacks and got 60 stars, then more loot would be given to this clan. I would recommend around the 500k mark sounds reasonable. The difference in scores should also play a role in this; winning clans also should get more according to the star differential. This also discourages barching, townhall looting and more exciting wars because clans won't be able to win so confidently. The good clans wont profit as much as it does now.
4. Score difference
Winning clans will get an extra bonus according to the score. This will also encourage less barching and townhall looting. Both sides will want to fight more and It will be a more exciting experience for everyone.
5. In Clash of Clans, the war map is usually divided into townhall level. Although I agree that this still should remain, I also think that a war experience monitor should be present. Something like a formula
The formula would be something like this x=y(a/z)
x= is the overall evaluation
y is the number of stars out of three
a is your rank
z the opponent rank
This I think would benefit clans a lot, But I think it still should be separated by townhall level.
Don't you think this is a bit overpowered?
Not going to lie, I don't. These all require you to think and use more resources. It requires strategic planning and balances everything out. The most heroic defense is also something that isn't luck; Original bases are more unlikely to be even two starred, as there are several hundreds of videos showing you how to three star traditional bases found on the Supercell Clash of clans forums.
This is all an attempt to get more clans out there willing to war, and the ripple effect would include having more bases to "Pair" you up with, giving more exciting and equal clan wars.
I know this isn't Mastermind professional, but I really wanted to get my ideas out there. I might add some more details if ideas pop in my mind. Please comment if you have any suggestions. Thanks!
