Always been 1K, as far as I can remember. 3L spells are guaranteed demolition of an AD? That spell is so random.
There is no way to drop them "perfectly". The lightings come down randomly, they will sometimes miss the target no matter how centered the spell is dropped.Quote:

I don't know why, but I laughed when I saw you said he dropped them perfectly lol. Perfectly dropped spells that are only good to take out clan castle troops or steal dark elixir ♥♥♥♥, but "perfectly" dropped them on an air defence?

The HP did have a slight increase from 1040 to 1050. What level are your lightning spells? I found that lvl 4 lightning spells offer a random result against lvl 6 ADs even when zoomed in and dropped dead center even before the update. Lvl 5 lightning spells would most definitely destroy a lvl 6 AD though.
