Rage can wait. The drill will be producing extra resources forever from the moment you upgrade it.
I do understand your plight though. I got to TH9 about a month ago (before the last update) and had to go from one level 3 drill to two level 6 drills (a total cost of 28.5 million elixir for all the upgrades) but it was worth making it one of my top priorities (only behind making sure my lab was up and running) because it will give more DE forever.

Lab takes far longer then buildings at th7 and th8 so I would in no way want to have the lab not busy (unless of course there are cheaper upgrades you could still do).
Well the word you meant was dissent but I know what you mean. However you're wrong lab for th7 is done way before defenses. Maybe now if dark elixir is more available it's different however I skipped the dark elixir troops upgrades at th7. It was just too scarce to botherQuote:

Drill. The only reason you need rage 4 at TH7 is clan wars, and even that's very iffy. Drill, baby drill! :p
