I m a max th8 about to go to th9 in a day.I just wanna know what attack strategies are used at th9.I aim to 3 star every war base.Its an ambitious target but I like to always do my very best and achieve as high as possible.
So for 3 star strategy I have been using mass drags at th8.I have gotten really good at them.I didn't feel the need to develop pekkas so I might not be able to gowipe just yet.
So to all of you th9's what is the best attacking strategy?
You will almost never three star a th9 with dragons. That extra AD is just brutal.

Then random armies based off the enemy base'a weaknesses (a guy in my clan used several golems a hound a few dragons and wizards are wrecked some odd looking maxed 9 last week...it was kind of cool to watch)
I suppose against the right base a dragoon could also work.
Moving forward to Th9 Mass Drag will only net you the 3* on certain weaker Th9s. I've found so far that my priority/high impact war upgrades have been Golem, Witch, Loon and Hogs. Level 3 Pekka is good. If you're into Valks then they are viable as well.
A few very large strategic changes we face when attacking are the Xbows with their long range and high hp, the forth Big Bomb (which allows a second double big bomb spot) and most importantly the Archer Queen. She is devastating when placed well or if left alone. You can't reliably Hog a base without first making sure you take her down.
My Hog army at Th8 was something like; 37 Hogs (5 in CC), 9 Wizards, King and 4 Barbies with 3 Heals.
My Hog army at Th9 might be something like; 32 Hogs (6 in CC), 1 Golem, 2 Witches, 5 Wizards, 2 Giants, 6 Barbies, King and Queen with 4 Heal spells.
The difference being the kill squad I use to move in on and take out the clan castle and Queen. 1 Golem 2 Witches 5 Wizards King and Queen. The Giants are for pulling the Clan castle, Barbies are to get the CC to the side of the map where I can take them out with my kill squad and move in toward the Queen's position. For a very difficult Queen to get to you might bring a Rage to get through a second set of walls or change up the kill squad composition a bit.

Why the Giants instead of two additional hogs for CC lure?
It's just what worked on the last base I did in clan wars. The CC was poorly placed and a giant was able to get within the radius quite easily. Otherwise I would have used 3-4 Hogs depending on where the lure had to happen. Never 2 really because it's a huge time sink and can be a waste of a couple extra Hogs when you don't get the full pull on the first attempt. Which will stress the flow of your attack plan and can make everything else seem rushed.
I got the 3 star with that Army but my opponent's base was rushed and the setup wasn't good.
Ok so based on the responses which attack should I develop first.Balloonion seems a good option as I would only need to level up my balloons to 6 to make it effective.

This is the attack using the army I referenced. Couple things could have been smoother, wasted a wizzy at the top, golem before king and spell placement could have been better, but they got the job done.
Actually I don't think I needed a Golem at all. Maybe just 1 more Witch and more Hogs.
Thanks bro.I'll look into all these attacks and decide from there.For now gowipe/gowiw sound like a good combo to master.But the downside is the massive amount of time required to develop this troop combo.
I wouldn't say that there's a "best" TH9 attack strategy. The base design of the opponent will determine the best troop composition to use against the given base.

Lava loon, giwipe, dragloon, gowiwi, hogs.... So many different way to three star at th9. Mass drags kinda falls off
