Gem Boxes

I was wondering whether you would consider a new idea about raiding gems too?

The gem boxes you kindly leave in our bases, how about putting a timer on them? If you had a timer of 24 hours or even 48 hours which counted down, similar to the shield. And then after that ran out, the next person to attack the base would have the option of attacking the gem box too. You could put a high hit value on it so it wouldn't be a quick steal.

This would encourage people to spend more time checking their bases.

this is a horrible idea.
just because there is a gem box on my base and i havent gotten it yet doesnt mean that i havent been on to get it.
i may just have all my builders working and cannot get it.

that is my gem box, not yours.
i may like the look of it and want to keep it there.
you have no right to it.

And so therefore it is the perfect idea :)

If you want to sit there and look at it, then you can also watch me come and attack it ;) And it is only yours once you have claimed it. 48 hours should be enough, most of the build work is staggered...and if not, then it would be fair game.

Build work is not always staggered when you have 4 teslas and an air defense upgrading that take over a week to upgrade.

that wouldn't be fair because some one like me dose not have time to always get on and collect my gem boxes i get on maybe once ever two week because that all the time i really have and when i am on i only have time to collect recourse and maybe time to clear one or two thing and do a raid if my troop are trained but if my troop are trained i do a raid i don't have enough time to collect gem box if i do a raid so it would be unfair to people and it would rip them off and it would hurt the clash of clan game people would quit and never play until they fix it so supercell would lose money also people have another life then playing games just saying not trying to be rude :cool:

Yes I agree work isn't always staggered, but it is rare to set off all of the builders at once. Anyway, it was just a thought, and would be an added bonus to the raids in my eyes :)

it is not rare to have all your builders going at once.
im just a TH8 and i have upgrades that are only 5-7 days.
TH10 have upgrades taking 14 days

you must be a very low TH to always have available builders.

how would you feel if you had all your builders huts going and got a gem box but couldnt collect it and then someone came in and took it from you?

bad idea. very bad idea.
i hope this gets ruled out eventually

whether it's rare or not it depends on the person.

there are people who always have all their 5 builders busy 100% of the time (yes 100% you did not read wrongly), and no break between them (14 days straight for each builder)

Well then that is the risk you take. Surely, the same could be said about many things on here. Im a lvl8 as well, and I engineer it so that my builders are staggered so that I don't have a mass of resources sat around, but sometimes I get stung...nature of the game

i personally do not mind with it, however up until now SC has never agreed to anything involving gem stealing, regardless what the source is.
