Anyone else find it difficult to attack? All my troops are maxed, but I can't find a cost efficient way of attacking. Aside from the occasional free raid on collectors that have sat, I almost regularly lose resources attacking.
Typically I use:
10 lvl 6 giants
4 lvl 5 wbs
The rest assorted lvl 6 archers and barbs.
I'd advice you to add some goblins in farming they are the best
Use:
8 gaints
10 Wallbreakers
70 Archer
50 Barbarian
40 Goblin
How many walls do you intend to break with 4 wbs?

Well I've calculated it to be the most cost effective. Honestly if you get into 10 giants 10 wall breakers, that's 60k right there. Spending 100k to steal 150k doesn't seem like a good idea. I like to double my investment at least
You could always try to use the barb archer combo since you don't like making wallbreakers

If you need to farm elixir you need to attack villages that dont require expensive troops. You need to drop trophies, use cheaper troops and engage in battles where you dont need to expend all your troops on every battle.

Farming is better around 1600 cups. I love healers, I don't know how to win without them. I use two of them quite often. 12 giants, 5 wall breakers, two healers, rest barbs/archers. But I do love wizards--they are awesome following behind giants with a healer to help out.
Thats still a lot of money but thats why you only target bases with 200k plus in resources.

If you are going into every battle and expending ALL your troops then you and your buddies are doing it wrong!
When I am farming for gold and I don't care about elixir then I carry
11-12 Giants, 10-12 WBs, 30-40 barbs, 30-40 Archers, and 50-70 goblins and my only concern about using all my troops is how long it's going to take to replace that army.
You asked for advice and you got solid answers from people who have been playing this game longer and better than you.
You ask about gaining resources but you keep bringing up trophy count. Are you farming, trophy hunting or doing both?
Gaing elixir is easy if you are farming, a little harder if you are hunting and farming, and difficult if you are trophy hunting.

Lol ok, dude. I'm trying to get a consensus as to whether the game feels unbalanced to anyone else at higher levels. I mentioned cups because 1900 - 2100 is where I farm. But I'm sure you guys are just better players than my entire top 50 clan.

Im always between 1500 - 2200 Cups mostly farming. I was now for 2 days around 2000 trophies to farm DE for golem LVL 4 update. Trophy range is the most important thing if looking for good bases. Over 1900 Cups its getting more difficult to farm elexier and gold with every time 200k/200k, if i need this i lower trophies between 1600 - 1800. Reason is very simple, im looking for 180k+ / 180k+ raids on TH8,they usually have not a chance if not maxxed, easy and fast money. If i farm only for elexier this should be no problem to get 8 MIO in 2 days because its easier to get than gold.
edit: Here a nice example, loot is usually a little bit lower min. around 180k+ but mostly very easy to catch. In 3 hours of playing i had 3 Raids like that at 1750 - 1800 trophies. Usually clicking for 15-20 times NEXT
