Lava-loonion strategy

Hi guys. Recently I have been trying to pick up this lava-loon-minion strategy. I have some defense and only one got 2 star on me. the attack seems to deploy balloons and then lava hounds on two different ADs with freeze on it. and of course, rage the loons. heroes are usually deployed at last to take out the townhall for two star if needed. I have some questions to ask:

1. Do you lure CC first?
2. what types of bases does it work?
3. How do you determine on which side to initiate the attack?

Please keep in mind that I focus on 2 star a TH10 in clan war. I appreciate any suggestion you guys can offer and possibly a link to some good youtube videos are more than welcome.

what works best for me is 2 hounds 28 loons 20 minions

i send in the hounds first (2 per ad) then loons then minions. i rage the loons

i used three lava hounds, 22 loons rest minions. i usually get around 70ish percent with 2 stars. but it was so close to a 3 star attack. i usually destroyed the th using the balloons splash.. the problem was the clean up after.. usually got stock with walls.

trying bringing 3 or 4 wb for your heros

my clan just matched with one of the top global clan. and fyi they lure the cc with loons first. sometimes they use hero to do the job depends on the cc locations. and mostly 2 stars and some are 3 stars.

i used lava loonions when the 2 air def is almost close to each other.
that will be the side of my attack. i usually lure if possible but if i will use 20 (spaces just to lure) i dont lure. i drop the lava hound then loons right away.. spread them. then use rage all the way. most of the time i am able to get two stars by the loons alone.
the problem would the clean up.. i usually fail in this stage. since my attackers either just do walls or got lured by skeleton traps

Thank you! Are they attacking a TH10? and how strong are the TH10 if they did 3 star?

Thank you! This makes more sense now. So you mean it better to lure but if it cost too much you'd rather sacrifice some HP of the hound? btw, are you attacking TH10 or TH9? I find it hard to 3 star a TH10 and sometimes 2 star will fail because I drop heroes for clean up and they sometimes dont go for the townhall.

i do the same thing, i send in both hounds, usually 2 per ad. then loons and rage. if you can lure the cc make 1 giant and lure with that. if not then dont waste your time

You should try visiting ClashHeads.. (They usually let visitors in if you say youre a visitor). They have 3 stars on max th10s with 3hound loonion.
