TH9: gowipe or gowigi (pekka level 3 vs giants level 6)

i was thinking in the past day what's more effective for a TH9 in war. really hard to decide..what do you guys think?

pekka - level 3
damage: 300 per second
hitpoints: 3500
movement speed: 16
GOOD:

• more damage.
• faster.
• spring traps? who cares..

BAD:

• doesn't target defenses only
• teslas are deadly.
• less hit points.

5 giants - level 6:

damage: 215 per second
hitpoints: 4700
movement speed: 12
GOOD:

• more hitpoints
• can split over couple defenses
• attacks defenses only

BAD:

• less damage
• slower
• if splitting over defenses, takes more time to get the defense down, thus receive more damage.
• spring traps = flying giants.

what do you guys think?

then if u want.. see which does better and use that one

my giants are only level 5 ...lol

The major plus for Pekkas and Golems are that they don't get flung around by spring traps and giant bombs don't harm them as much.

Another thing is that giants tend to bunch up, therefore taking a heavy splash dmg from mortars and such.

I always use 3 pekkas and 2 golems in war. In CC, I might carry extra wizzies or pekkka (a lvl5 golem if I'm taking on a TH10)

same here, though as you see giants can be pretty good as well. that surprised me..

You can't count 5 Lvl 6 giants as one troop with 215 DPS and 4700 HP. That would be like saying 25 Barbs is 750 dos with 3750 HP. It doesn't work like that. Every giant that dies decreases the DPS significantly where as a Pekka can take 940 damage and maintains the same DPS

Of course you cant compare exactly but thats the most you can do

Depend on base imo, lots of th9 war base have predictable and bad traps placement which is better for giant. Since nobody use mass hogs anymore, there is not much ringed base around thus make it easier for giant to go straight to core.
