Hi !
My idea would be that the leader can choose who will participate in the war by ticking a box. This would avoid having to leave a clan then come back or have to lower its number of trophies (especially if you play ranking). It would also be useful when some members leave on vacation.

Most likely every clan will pick only the best member to go on war, which is boring.
every clan has a weak member and strong member, that's the fun part.
that's how it currently works. Members are listed in order of power in the clan and this is what determines who participates and who does not participate. In contrast, with my idea, it would involve weaker members than those normally chooses.
I like the idea as it would allow more participation in wars and would only be an issue if say theres more then say 40 members but not 45 members cuz if there was 45 (example) it would be a 45v45 war and like the op stated if you have 43 members but know 1 or 2 people will not be able to participate for whatever reason the leader could swal them out giving 2 lower members in the clan a chance to be a part of the war
How it should work...
There should be a button (it can be a new one or the war shield can be modified) that toggles a player as in or out.
Access to hit the button to toggle should go to the leader and the player in question.
- individual players cannot opt each other in or out
- its an argument either way to give it to co as well - Good for clans where co is a management job, bad for clans that give it out like candy. (I consider the latter to be a sign of a bad leader)
- A leader who abuses authority to opt guys in against their wishes are really just hurting their own selves for how they are adding a risk to their war participation. (the guy might then just not attack anyhow, if not seeing eye to eye with leader he wont care)
- A leader opting a guy out against his wishes has that prerogative to decide who he wants in his war. And its still nicer than just kicking the guy like happens now.
The status of a player is only a factor right at the time a war starts. Instead of just selecting all eligible players from the total population it will just be all eligible players from the opted in group.
- Can even implement by leveraging the existing eligibility functionality that currently is only driven by a timer.
After that everything works the same. The list of warriors from the clan is rounded to an even 5 via the existing logic and then the matchmaking calculation takes place also using the existing logic.
A player joins a clan with his eligibility set the same way it is today. (He is in unless there is a timer)
Things that would not happen -
- A player cannot add themselves to a war after the fact. If they change their status during a war it makes no difference until the next war when that status is read at startup.
- This would not serve as a way to replace members that take off during war. if they do that then there is the same affect on the war as there is today. Unused attacks stay unused. (it will never change that this just stinks when guys pull that stunt)
Members are only listed by them trophy so if I'm a lvl 100 farming at 1500 trophy I'll be under a lvl 60 at 1800.Quote:

The only point is that not all people like to do always war and if you have a clan with real life friends (but it's the same for online friends) it's not nice to kick them everytime a war has to start.

people promote this page , this is the most imp thing , we want right now , we have lost many players becouse either we didnt kicked them before war start and they didnt wanted war, or kicked them at war start and they wanted war
I agree to promote the post because I am very much in support of the idea. But for arguments sake I did try putting up a poll suggesting the opposite because I wanted to see how that would come out. To my surprise votes against it did outnumber the votes for it so I have to consider that even if I don't like it. this is a great idea.
Clans that are going to do that are already doing it. But actually you just gave me the idea to have fun and let all our weakest players take a turn at it. The practice would be good for them as it will help them not be weaker players forever.Quote:

More often though, clans are having to put a person out because they cant war right at that time for some outside life reason and they don't want to have the person in their war that can't participate.
Leaders of the clan should at least be able to decide the size of the group entering the war. Including everyone by multiples of five just doesn't work because you may have friends who just started join your clan so you can give them pointers or better troops for defense or attacking. Throwing them into a war and expecting them to make a difference on a person who may be 3 full town hall levels maxed out ahead of them is pretty ridiculous. Everyone in the clan may have reasons for not being able to participate and they shouldn't have to be kicked out in order to get the right size of war participants. This is an easy change and a necessary one because people may stop playing if they have to be kicked out all the time and find the clan again or not be able to play with a friend due to being a beginner and not allowed in the clan because of the wars. Easy decision! Make it so you can adjust war participant sizes and you will have more people playing (which means more potential money to be made).
