Skeleton Traps

I have a love and hate relationship with them. Couple wars ago, my base got one starred by maxed gowipe just because my skeleton traps completely stalled the enemy troops combined with my CC and king.. I was so happy..

Now, fast forward to 2 days ago, I was raiding a noob base for 2K de. All my wizards are in the core and I have placed the rage and heal on them, they are about to fire at the storage.. out of no where couple barbs activate a skeleton trap far away from my wizards, and since the wizards sense defender troop hitting friendly troop... they run away from the de storage and kill the skeletons.

From that day on.. i started using goblins.. I was still bitter about that raid.. HE HAD ONE XBOW and no QUEEN.. oh well

They've screwed me a few times, but for the most part they're manageable. It becomes part of attack planning. GoWiPe used to be a surefire 2 star regardless of the base, and now it makes you think about your troop comp a little more.

If I have one issue, it's the same one that I have for defending hereos and cc troops... it's that the agro radius is enormous. I don't mind my troops being distracted by them, but the attacker's troops' AI needs to be better equipped to understand whether it's more efficient to run out of the core to attack, or whether they should keep doing what they're doing. To the OP's point, my troops shouldn't go busting through a level 10 wall or run across a quarter of the base to target them.
