XMAS tree in the middle. Possibru?

Wow 2000+ views!

Hello fellow Clashers. I just changed my base in hopes a Christmass tree will spawn right in the middle but I'm scared the open space in the middle is too small for it to spawn. Also I know it can spaw outside my base or inside but I really hope it will be right in the center. Anyone knows if it will spawn. If not how big does the open space have to be?

Amount of 2014 Xmas trees right now: 1

you have a small chance, but you have one :). (there is ALWAYS a possiblity of spawning on the boarder, no matter if there is no 1 tile gap)

if the boarder length is say 80, you'd have 1 chance out of (80)*4=320

so very little chance :/

if you want to increase your chances, maybe build a 11x11 spawning square in the middle?
This would increase your chances by 25, and bring it down to 1 chance out of 7 (320*2x2/(10x10+9x9). I added 9x9 because it could be shifted by one in either direction)
it would still look nice, you could shift your base and the christmas tree will still be centered.
or you could keep your base centered and leave the christmass tree somewhat in the middle.

The space for the tree to spwan looks enough, best of luck to u 😊

80+79 is because I am only counting 2x2 possible positions, and on the boarder, you could possibly shift everything by 1

I noticed the new Xmas tree spawns inside the base itself and there are youtube videos that design the base like mine to either force them in the middle or outside in the border. But the YT vids have huge gaps in the middle and I want it exactly inside the middle. :P I hope it spawns right in the kisser.

Yes but if I make such a big spawn square chances are it's not going to be anywhere near the center. I want it right in the bullseye. I'm so going to run around my house 20 times if I get it.

Most people wont want it to have it there as it will make the base more difficult to design

I recommend a 6x6 to 8x8 space in the middle. Yours look to small

Like I said. The bigger the space the bigger the chance it won't spawn in the middle.

You have a 3x3 open space now right? I think it needs to be 4x4 because obstacles don't spawn right next to buildings:

While normal obstacles will not spawn on the white/red buffer zones, the Christmas tree will. I have observed this first hand as I was trying to force it to spawn on the border and it spawned on a 2x2 space between 2 buildings fully within the white/red buffer zone. If you want to force the Christmas tree to spawn on the border only, ensure that there are no 2x2 spaces anywhere within your base. If you are trying to force spawn in the middle of your base, leave only a 2x2 space in the middle; you will still have a chance of it spawning on the border though.

Thanks for the information. I now changed it to 4x4. I got a tree outside the border now lets hope a tree will spawn in the 4x4 zone!

Xmas trees will spawn at any 2x2 space available, regardless of what's next to it. Goodluck, this is just random luck for it not to spawn on the border and to spawn in the center.

I changed it to 4x4 just to be sure. With a 4x4 I double my chance on getting one. Thank you for wishing me luck :D.

This is my first Christmas as a clasher so I didn't know that, thx for the reply :) my tree is sitting bautifully at the edge of the map next to my halloween headstone :)

I'm still not pretty sure if it can spawn in a 2x2 since the tree spawns presents.

Here you go buddy, this should help you out....notice it's my base as well, no third parties involved. I missed one 3x2 space apparently, and this buddy showed up in that one spot. I moved nothing else at all, the collector and drill have always been there. It just needs a 2x2 space -- like any other event object (gem box, tombstones, etc).

Wow haha looks nice. Well I made it 4x4 now. With a 4x4 I have a higher chance to make it spawn inside the center area.

Sure thing! I'm checking every minute! Do you know if an obstacle can spawn over a tombstone? I had a tombstone in the center because I was attacked. I logged on Clash and suddenly saw a tree outside the base. Maybe if that tombstone was not there it could have been in the center?:confused:

It seems as if xmas trees only spawn every 4 days if that helps at all.

just make sure you say logged off a bit - apparently obstacles don't spawn when you're sitting in your base, only when you're out searching/attacking or logged off

This feels like a vacation to me. Normally I would be attacking people hardcore and maintaining 4M gold. But the past few days I haven't been online haha. Only after someone attacked me just to check if I have a tombstone in the center.:p
