Timeout while typing clan mail... REDICULOUS!

Nothing is worse than typing up a clan mail and then having the game tell me I have been disconnected for in-activity! Can we get a couple more minutes? Even writting down the main points of my mail, 5 minutes is not quite enough. If i need to change something previously written I simply can't select were i want to edit, I have to delete all the message up to that point. This has happened a few times now even knowing that I need to type quickly. I understand there is potential for abuse, but there needs to be some modification.

Here's what I propose:

- We already have a 12 hour cooldown after sending a mail ( LAME! ).
- Create a feature that ASKS if you need 5 more minutes to finish your mail.
- If you answer YES, you get it! ( limit of one extension ),( 1 Gem to do it?)
- If no response, session expires for inactivity.
- Extension feature only becomes available again with next mail or 12hr cooldown, whichever comes first.

Leading a new, uprising war clan, I need to be able to give attacking strategies, base fixes, troop compilations, etc... and this is by far the biggest pain in my side. There are plenty of other mods I could think of by this is the most annoying at the moment.

This option would be very helpful!

I undersand this is limited to those who are leaders and co-leaders, but any input for/against/modify is appreciated. State your member status in response if you want to be taken serriously.

As long as you are typing on the screen this shouldn't happen. Or you could compose the message before hand on paper and then just copy it so there is no thinking invloved

I am typing when this occurs, thus my frustration and reasoning by creating this thread. I use a android tablet, if this is the cause, then it's a bug that needs fixing.

Typing does not constitut to 'being active' as far as the game is concerned. As you can see in other posts, I type a lot. I have to speed type to get my message in, and then redo the whole thing if there is a typo in the middle of it since I can't do edits on it. Backspacing and retyping just wastes time, and would time me out anyway if I tried.

That, and having to guess when you are close to the character limit is a pain too. A count on both claim mail and channel messages would be great.

What could you possibly be typing that requires the game to time out?

So I was thinking maybe Supercel.......... ( user timed out while responding)

It is a pain... especially trying to word it in the limits, having to backspace to fix a spelling or an auto-correct spelling.

Plus I think that during a war we should be able to allow a leader or co-leader more than 1 mail every 12 hours. We need to give orders based on the way the war unfolds... And not all members are on at same time. So to get around this we have to keep retyping the orders to make sure our orders are received instead of rolling off the bottom of the list.

Don't undersand your gem idea there. But yes I have also been trying a clan mail and been told that I was inactive. I also have had times where I just wanna go back and edit it. I agree there needs to be a way to go back and edit rarer than erase. As for the extension; it doesn't happen often enough to constitute a new feature like this.

I think so too. Its not the only reason why it is wise to think through and plan what one is going to say before they do.
