Valks r strong, especially for Th7 and 8s. But need to learn how to use, them, there r many videos out there to help u learn the proper use.

I've tried them on occasion and they are pretty impressive. Had them break walls for me.
they only go to L2 atTH8 though... Not L3.

level 1 valks In a CC for defence can be very effective (lower level raids not against level 6 attacks etc.)
I have max valks and I use them on anything over mid to high th 9 bases in war. If used correctly they are an easy 2 stars on any th 9 and one star on th 10s. You have to use jump spells and maybe some wall breakers. I typically use 3-5 hogs to get CC troops out. Then have about 20-25 valks, and 4-6 wall breakers. The rest wizards and archers with heros to clear a path to the closest or easiest route to town hall. Once path is cleared I lay valk down to see where it goes. If it goes towards wall then place 2 more with wall breakers. Then place all valks down and watch the massacre happen. Once they're near the th place a jump spell when they are done with that sectors defenses. I typically like to use 3 healing and one jump spell. You can use a rage to get them going as well. They are sick and very helpful in getting that hard star on the best base in war.
Mine are max and i use 10 or so for farming, 15 ginats, 60 arcs , some barbs and heroes. Works very well. Sometimes I end up with 13 or 14 but it's all good.
Clear a path for them to go wreck havoc inside or have them clean up the outside, they are versatile like that.
Place them so they can eaily get inbetween multiple structures. That's when they are most effective.
If goblins were tanks.... they would be used more than valks
