Dark troops - why people ask for them?

I came across a few donation requests asking for dark troops only. I don't get it. Dark troops' abilities and usefulness vary widely and each serves its own purpose. I would never make blanket request as this, rather would mention specific troops I want. If I ask for minions and someone give me hogs or a golem, I would be really ♥♥♥♥♥♥, even though both are DE troops.

In my opinion, these people are just newbie and inconsiderate toward other clanmates, by asking for expensive troops just for the sake of it, thinking they are strong, without even considering how the DE troops would fit within their offensive or defensive strategy. What do you think?

i think you are right

Yes, yes. But at your level and lower, any dark troop is expensive and powerful.

expensive? yes.
powerful? yes.
useful? it depends for use as defense or offense, and how they complement with other troops I have.
I would never ask for a hog or golem for defense. Minions and valkyries are very versatile and can go well as defense or offense. Minions are great complement with other flying troops but valkyrie, not so much.

you said it theyre clueless what to do with them they probably cant get them and just wanna see what they will do......gotta be specific thats a good way to get kicked out of a clan.....just sayin

Dark troops are useful at their level, but I don't see a problem with just asking for barbarians, archers and/or wizards. It isn't really fair if inexperienced players demand that others spend their dark elixir for them.

when I was a lower level, I would ask for dark troops just because I had never used them before

Did you know that if you're a new player in clash and you get 2 hogs in your clan castle, you can wipe out a whole base with them?

Everybody has their own way of playing this game, requesting DE troops could be bcos of their curiosity and eagerness to use them, u r taking it to personally.

The problem is communication. You could just ask why and what actually they want. If they keep silent or repeating the same request, i suggest just kick em. Theyr probably newb like you said
