What happened to the Cannon lvl 13?

It's seldom advantageous given the same DPS, for the shot rate to be lower.

Thus far a maxed cannon is about half the price. Even if they added another level of cannon and made it 8m gold, it'd still be cheaper.

Clearly by DPS I mean damage per second.

Having better damage per shot isn't necessarily advantageous in Clash of Clans, more overkill = more wastage.

so for example a level 6 archer has 44 hit points

a townhall 8 can one shot them with level 9 cannon, but it takes a townhall 10 with level 13 archer tower to one shot an archer now?

I see your point, but I do not agree entirely . . . can you give some support to your argument?

Did you post anything that has anything to do with what daz is saying? No you didn't.

Why are you still talking about single shot damage, when single shot damage in this context is irrelevant?

A cannon will always take 1 second to kill the archer. An archer tower, if maxed will kill the archer in .5 seconds. Making the archer tower clearly superior.

This is consistent across all troop types.

Cannons often take 2 shots, 2 seconds to kill a barbarian. Archer Towers often take 3 shots, 1.5 seconds to kill a barbarian.

That just doesn't seem right at all, cannon should also have higher DPS. Especially with lv 13 Giants coming.

Cannons and archer towers are 2 different things. They have their own purpose.

Cannons are meant to be sort of a tank aiming at only ground units, while archer towers are meant for both, and slightly larger range. I don't think lvl 13 cannons are needed, at least not for a while. Offense has taken several hits in the past couple updates, with the only buff being lvl 7 giants, which doesn't even affect everybody. I see your logic, but I honestly think we should keep it max at lvl 12 for TH10, and max archer tower and cannon once again the same, at lvl 14 at TH11 (which should not be anytime soon) when hopefully, a better stat increase with lvl 8 troops.

you then tried to explain how a higher damage per shot is wastage, gave an example how in this situation you might not be correct.

if anyone is trolling anyone, I feel it is the other way around.

The point is cannons really don't have much of a purpose anymore. In nearly every way they are inferior to archer towers.

It's not like cannons are good at one thing and archer towers are good at another.

Personally I think they need to add another level to cannons AND up their HP across the board.
