After SC released the lvl 13 AT back in Sept., i was really expecting a lvl 13 cannon this xmas update. I had even higher hopes for a lvl 13 cannon than a new troop lvl to be honest. AT have been getting all the attention with the new level and the recent tweak that lets them shoot faster while the cannon is left in the dust.
You guys think we are going to get the lvl 13 cannon early next year?
I do agree the cannon is quite weak in comparison now
Shoots slowest of Archer Tower, Tesla, X-Bow.
Second lowest range to Tesla.
Second lowest DPS to X-Bow.
Only one that can never target air units.
It needs more DPS & HP, via a lv 13 upgrade to help balance it up. Especially now lv 13 Giants are going to be stomping all over TH10 bases. Giant & Wizard based armies will be on the rise.
We badly need modifiers like fireball, freezeball etc...

There's nothing needed to balance. I mean, it's a TH1 defense for crying out loud! How can you compare it to even a mortar!

Mortars don't attack Air Units either. And to even it out, Air Defense only attacks air units with double the damage of the mortars and cannons combined. Seems fair to me.Quote:

1.) You cant calculate it this way. Air Units have completely different stats. Air defense is always stronger, but air Units are also stronger. Just imagine the Dragons as land units with the same stats.
2.) Mortars are nice at lower Levels for stopping barch, but I dont think they are good at th10. They have nearly no attack agains Golems/giants and also are worse against wizards then archer Towers. Well they are good against barch, but if you have to worry about barch at th10, you are clearly doing something wrong.
3.) Archers Towers are even stronger at th8. They have same same attack, can shoot air units, has a higher attack rate against low Level troops and a shorter retarget time compared to cannons. Cannons are defenses for the outer layer, while archer Towers should be placed in the second layer. I never understand why so many Players waste These Towers at the border of the base.
