It's kind of the sad tale of the day. Two years ago, apps were meant to be fun little Indy games which, sure, had a few IAP's but nothing outrageous or required to play. However, as the years go by, those Indy games have been bought out and turned into cash cows with ridiculous cash grubs and IAP's. Looking at you, Angry Birds and Plants Vs Zombies.
Clash is by no means the worst, in terms of blatantness, at least, but SuperCell is definitely manipulating the game mechanics to generate cash. Nothing wrong with that in premise, but, in this case, it has come at the cost of sustainable and enjoyable gameplay at higher levels.
