I'm finishing up maxing walls and teslas this week. After that I'll be done. I feel like getting level 5 barbarians and archers are a bigger deal than the loot penalty of going to TH8. So should I go to TH8 and farm for DE there? I'll also get a second drill.
I did that, and currently have a level 3 king. Loot penalty isn't that bad Tbh especially if you are looking for DE. Start your upgrade now, and stockpile loot for the coming upgrades like the Labs and the upgrades that come with it. Just my opinion, but its your choiceQuote:

Actually i post few similar threads but I decided to dont move to th8 even I have full resources. I badly but badly attack for DE.
For 30h will be finished level 3 drill on th7. Cant be faster. 5 min after update I start :)
So I will have 1080 DE per day. So I suggest you dont move if you dont finished collectors. Yes this is boring like hell, but King 5 really help. And you dont worry for loot . I find 400 000 loot from th6/poor th7 so much in silver 2.
So my advice dont hurry. But if you cant wait move on.
I recommended maxing bk to lvl5, best move I made before making the jump. Now at th8 I have bk at lvl10 making farming dk a breeze along with dk troop upgrades.
The rule of thumb is that getting resources is more difficult when you upgrade th. For gold and elixir that is true, but for DE it is opposite (DE gets a lot easier). Just something to think about.
DE is much easier to come by at town hall 8. It's worth going up in town hall as long as you aren't behind in your lab research and will be going for level5 barbs and archer right away at th8. Also, in a few weeks DE is going to start to get easier to come by in general, with the holiday update adding new drills.Quote:

If the only thing keeping you in TH7 is the barb king and everything else is maxed and you have sleeping builders....make the jump. Maxing heroes gets easier the higher you go.
Maxing him at TH7 is only going to slow you down.

Why ?
Bcs my friend crush th 8 with level 5 king and hogs level 2. I can only smush th8 by level 2 dragons. I want to be hogs player. So badly want o upgrade hogs / 1 more level king.
I mean before 1 week th8 haved only 1 de drill. But even 2 max level 3 drills make together 2160 per day will need 10 days only for hogs 2. I mean, maybe waiting is stupid but sometime worth. If I go to th8, need to upgrade lab / barch / giants / wallbreakers and .... 1 month will be spend. Than again can level up DE units.lol

I went to TH 8 with BK lv 1 and everything else maxed. Then I did essentially two things in combination:
- raid for elixir to keep the lab busy almost 100% of the time for elixir troops
- sniped my way up to masters to get that gems for the 5th builder
As a byproduct I got so much DE almost effortless, I got my BK to 7 or 8 in no time. Then targeted DE for the last levels.
Only after finishing all regular elixir troops and the spells did I address the DE troops in the lab. By that time I already enjoyed a lv 10 BK.
So if his majesty is all keeping you from stepping up, I'd recommend doing it. As always, your mileage may vary.

Agree. I also wanted to reach master league. Some people can do that. But what I find hard that I reach crystall 3 with town hall snipping. Than almost reach level 2 crystall. But I hard find th outside. There are serious players.
And after 10h session, someone revenge and I lose I think -56 trophey. So again play few hours for 56 trophey.....
So I find that so hard. I mean posiblle but so hard. So I give up. But I was th6, and now maxxed th7.
I am not sure how situation is today. Is worth to go up only for DE...
