I have another idea for a trap. This one is a vine trap. The idea of this trap is to take up one square (like a bomb) and when an enemy gets in the range of it, it comes out grabbing a hold of the enemy for a certain length of time. On the flip side of this trap, it is like a spring trap but backwards. What I mean by this is the Vine Trap is only able to affect creatures that take up more than 15 housing spaces.
As for the appearance of this trap, it looks like a normal patch of grass, keeping it hidden until its use. once it is used up, it will have the vine limping over the grass in a dead like fashion. The first through third stages of this trap will all look the same, green vines with small spikes. the fourth stage, being poisonous, will be all green with larger purple spikes.
Now for upgrades, I feel like this trap could have a 4 stage upgrade. Once you hit the fourth stage, the trap will be the most effective time-wise, activation zone-wise, as well as a little poison feature. The poison feature would take away 10 hp every 5 seconds. This would only affect the creature that was caught in the trap itself.
