New Defense: Building? Or Spell?
READ: When I thinking on this concept, I was originally thinking about defensive spells but when I was considering the concept of it I thought it could also be a building. I read the sticky but defensive spells isn't in the ruled out section. A lot of people seem to want them, so this was inspired by everyone.
This thread will have stats of both a defensive building and a Spell. So fair warning it will be quite a bit to read.
NEW DEFENSE BUILDING: Gravity Well
Ability: Troops within Range will become intensely weighted. Air Troops such as Healers, Minions, Dragons, Lavahounds, Lava pups, and Balloons will become ground targets and become vulnerable to all ground based defense buildings within range.
(Note: This could also be one of those defenses that slows down troops as well however a lot of people have requested such a defense. So for now, even though Gravity slowing down troops makes sense, this defense does the above ONLY)
Stats:
-Unlocked at= TH10
-Number Unlocked= 1
-Hit Points= 700
-Cost to build= 3,500,000 gold
-Build Time= 5 days
-Range= 11
-Size= 3x3
-Damage= None
-Appearance of effect from Gravity Well: A simple circle showing the area effected with intense downward moving lines indicating the immense force and Gravity in the area. The Color would be a light red from the center of the well that also glows this light red energy.

Personally I feel the second one fits the game better but the first one looks the coolest. The name is afterall "Gravity Well"
Description: Some Wizards one day dug a well with their enchanted shovels, but instead of water they were dragged deep within the well itself... Never seen again. To this day, that very well still brings everything down to earth as if to pull it underground...
Details to note:
-It's Effect will only go away until the Gravity Well is destroyed. It has relatively low health(a little more than a maxed out mortar)
-It is also not upgradeable (unless needed when more TH lvls come of course. When that happens it's health will go up perhaps)
-When Air troops are grounded they become vulnerable to ground base defenses(mortars and cannons. Of course the defenses that target both air and ground will attack them also) as well as ground traps. However that means they are not attacked by air defenses and air based traps as well.
-Ground troops can target them while they are grounded within the area.
As for the spell, I wasn't sure if defensive spells were invisible until triggered or visible but I am going to treat it like a trap for now. I do expect spells to be placed almost anywhere on the map like normal spells. So I think it should have more of a limited range than the building concept.
New Defense Spell: Gravity Spell (less appealing name but all spells are simply named)
Ability: Air Troops within Area of Affect become grounded and become vulnerable to ground based defense buildings. Just like the ability for the building.
Stats:
-Unlocked at= TH10
-Cost to make= 30,000 elixir
-Time to make= 45 mins
-Range= 5 tiles
-Trigger radius= 3 tiles
-Duration of Effect upon being triggered= 5 seconds
when it gets upgraded the duration will get longer.
Lvl1=5 seconds
Lvl2=6
Lvl3=7
Upgrade Cost:
Lvl2=6,500,000 Elixir
Lvl3= 7,000,000 Elixir
Upgrade Time:
Lvl2= 7 days
Lvl3= 9 days
Appearance when in effect: A simple circle showing the area effected with intense downward moving lines indicating the immense force and Gravity in the area. The Color should be distinguishable from other spells if possible so a light red.
Details to note:
-to save the space this is the same as Gravity well's details.
The reason I would want this is to add different factor when attacking bases with air troops as well as attacking in general.

I like this idea but i have a few questions
So first of all i like both of these ideas first i will list a few suggestions
1) the tower should slow down ground troops while sucking air troops down with no speed de buff
2) the spell should be used when viewing a enemy attacking your base
3) the tower should have levels meaning the tower can pull healers at level 1 then healers and dragons at level 2 and then all air troops at level 3
now my questions
1) would a defense spell factory come with the defence spell?
2) how would this impact th 10 players (i really dont know)
3) the tower seems like it has a rather large range, is that just me?

EDIT: considering this is gravity (not just weight) maybe the tower/spell could throw ground troops up to be targeted in the air

Good point. I use loons almost every raid and I'm not sure how they would be used after this and how they would look.
I get how this is most likely a major concern of yours but in the forums we make the ideas for superceall to expand on we dont make the entire implementation (assuming there is a implementation)
