Upgrading walls with Elixir?

Hey!
Remember when we could upgrade our walls with elixir, before this latest update? Why did they remove that feature for walls lower than level 9?
I'm a TH8 and the only thing i can upgarde these days are my walls and since level 8 walls are costly, upgrading them with elixir made it a lot easier, since i always have about 2 million elixir just laying around. Is it possible that they will bring back that feature or will it remain for level 9 walls and higher?

It's not coming back.

I'm a mid TH8 and I don't get why you have so much elixir laying about. I have a massive amount of elixir to dump that I don't have now - into troop upgrades (2mill plus), into barracks, into the new DE drill, new collectors.

Hey!
Remember when we could only upgrade our walls with gold, before the September update? Why did they ruin the economy by letting noobs dump all their resources into cheap low-level walls?
Is it possible that they will ever fix this?

i'm getting very close to finishing up my th8 base, and i have no more elixir troop upgrades and no more elixir building upgrades except upgrading one of my drills from lvl 2 to lvl 3. so I'm about to start having plenty of excess elixir. it happened before the elixir update and it will happen now. just get used to it, supercell wants to reward players for upgrading their walls to a higher level and make it a little bit easier to upgrade walls that cost 1mil+ gold each.

Well said, warms the heart seeing a TH8 that understands. :)

I remember when I was th 8 it sucked. I constantly had full elixir storages but no use for them. I was th9 after the update and finished all my walls to lvl 8 before elix for walls was changed. Sucks ik but it is what it is. This way th9s like myself can steal your excess elixir.
