The rewards for winning clan wars is great as is but is it possible to give the winning clan a boost in gems? Not meant to be the greatest amount but something low like 5 or 10 gems to each member would be great. it would surely increase participation in clan wars and create more competition for clans to succeed.
A clan member suggested that months ago, and my first reaction was "No". Supercell needs the gem buying income, and could cheapen gems too much.
Then I thought about it some, and realized you get 2-6 gems a day from clearing obstacles (assuming 8 hour respawn and 2 gem average, which isn't the case apparently... but that's a different topic) and so, a small amount of gems (2-5 gems, depending on winning?) from clan wars wouldn't be game breaking at all.
In a selfish corporate slant, a small increase in free gems can make it so players feel more comfortable in using gems, and could increase gem purchases from hooked people wanting more.
My coworker and I add the same idea a couple of days ago. Reading this gave me another idea. There should be different Reward Catergories to compete in. The category would then Pair Clans Together, accordingly. Examples would be, Elixir, Gold, Trophies, etc. Winning Clan would then be rewarded with that amount devided evenly amongst them. Clan leader would have choice of choosing reward category for war, based on Clans decision/ discussion. The reward figure would have to be large enough to divide making it worth it, of course there could also be different award amounts. Example, 500,000 Elixir( for the smaller clans), 2,000,000 Elixir for the larger clans., etc.Quote:

Gems are a source of actual income in this game. Selling gems is like selling illicit substances. Clearing debris gives you a taste, they know your impatience will bring you back asking for more. That's when you spend $4.99 and get more. Hence the concept. Finding another way to give you free gems doesn't make them any money. Not going to happen my friend.
How do you know that clearing obstacles is enough of a taste to get people hooked? Achievements add to it as well, and new ones get added at times, (X-bow and Inferno-tower for example). So...you only want people that agree with you bother responding? If they keep adding ways for us to get gems without spending money, what's the point of selling gems? You think they want to make less money? Of course not. They want to give you just enough to want more. Gems are all about making money off of impatience. I hate it in almost all games, but clash of clans does it right. There's already a great balance between earning and buying gems. I don't think you're looking at the money/business side of this issue. I assure you supercell is.Quote:

I see two needs here, 1) people wanting free gems and 2) Supercell needing to make money; and suggesting a way to solve both.
It is up to Supercell, not you, to decide on if such a suggestion is viable, since they have the numbers, and it is their game and business.
You are a smart person. You should know making a sale for something almost always has bias and spin on it to try to push the other person to by into it. :p
If they do that , there will be too many free gems and which would decrease their income, and hence content of the game.
