input: Like daddy said, as long as the alt accounts are in good fun and not for bad things, then there's no harm. SC can also choose to enforce TOS whenever, or lend support as well (or in this case not lend help to Alt Accounts)

I know that you know which is why I am wondering why you are spreading inaccurate information. The ToS is quite clear that you are limited to how many accounts you may have. It does not say you can have more than one if you have multiple devices.

During your time as a moderator would you have ever posted, 'Speaking as a SuperCell representative, you may have as many accounts as you have devices'? I think not.

However, choosing to enforce said rules is entirely up to SuperCell.

I am well aware of sneakys' former position however, it does not change the fact that the ToS is pretty clear as to how many accounts you may or may not have. Posting anything else is spreading false information.

'In good fun' is a rather loose interpretation and to some multiple accounts can be seen as ch34ting.

Example: You have two devices, two accounts. One device has a maxed TH10, the other device has a weak TH6. Both accounts are in the same clan. At any time you choose, your TH10 can fill your TH6's CC with any troop you see fit.

However, someone with one account, regardless of TH level they are and clan they belong to, can make a request, but there is no guarantee as to when or if they will get the troops they wish.

That example above gives you an unfair advantage over another player and that, my friend, is a che@t.

Now, in order to avoid being a hypocrite, let it be known that I also have more than one account. If SuperCell is going to pick and choose what rules they enforce, I am going to pick and choose what rules I follow.

They have, Moderators and Staff have opening encouraged alternate accounts. The fact that the "AltAccountGate" happened about a month ago where no one was able to log into their alternate accounts but were locked into ONE account yet the Dev Team jumped in and fixed it shows that they are OK with not enforcing this part of the TOS.

You are correct though, it IS a violation. It just isn't enforced as per section 10.4 No Waiver clause of the TOS.

The problem people will run into is that if they have individual problems with their alternate accounts, Supercell is within their rights to not provide customer support. Had "AltAccountGate" not been an easy programming update that fixed everyone all at once and the Dev Team would have needed to work on individual account to recover everyone's alternate accounts, they would have said "Tough Luck, you're account is lost"

Now, as far as what a Moderator or even Supercell Staff says, in the long term, the last paragraph of section 10.4 No Waiver clause would come into play:

The key take away to the this clause is that no matter what anyone says, even from SuperSteve himself, if there's a major problem, Supercell is covered by this clause and can enforce any and all part of the TOS they see fit. Why they would ever need this?

Let's bring the example of "AltAccountGate" back. Had the problem required Support to go through each individual who had an alternate, they clearly would not have the staff to fix everyone's problem. They then can enforce their TOS by saying, as they always have, that multiple accounts on the same device is a violation and they will not fix the problem. You have officially lost your account, good luck in the future.

Now, you'll get an uproar, possible threats of litigation from people who say "Well SuperSteve, Daddy, et all, said I could have multiple accounts even on the same device and I paid money, whaaah, whaaah! Lawsuit!"

This pretty much sums up what I have been trying to say all along. Just because someone seems to be in an official position, they don't have the standing to alter the ToS. Not to say moderators should shut down all alternate account talk, but they should at least temper it by stating that it is not supported and could, possibly, lead to account banning.

snarg, mods and staff aren't above the TOS as you've correctly pointed out , alt accounts on forums yeah separate issue as most times its a troll.
buuuut , in game SC is pretty flexible and understanding I might add.
So this I will say , be a tool in game or chëät then yep support will step in, play at no artificial advantage to yourself or others then its safe to say your ok for the time been .
Again, 100% up to the discretion of support how they run it.
