Right now if we just go with who we have there are some very low level guys in the mix and sure their bases will get smashed easily. But no problem. What we get in return is that they pulled our average a lot lower so that the rest of us tend to have very easy targets . And as far as covering the targets for our lower guys (Who are usually overmatched because the other clans lower guys are nowhere near as low as ours) that is easy to do by our middle people taking a few second attacks down. Meanwhile just like their lower guys were nowhere near as low as ours, the rest of them and especially their higher guys are nowhere near what the rest of us are. So we kill them. I am the highest member of the clan and its often my job to slam dunk the number one and two guys of the enemy clan, and its usually very easy. I even try to entertain myself playing around with different combos and still get the three stars. But I don't play to win, I play to get challenged. So what if we had an easy way to hold out those lower guys so that our average was tougher meaning the rest of us now had to take down a harder base to win the war? To me that sounds appealing. (and anyone that is reading this going aha, let me make up my clan this way to get easy wins are not getting my point, I am bored from it is my point) I don't brag about our win streaks on the threads for that stuff because I just don't feel the sense of triumph when I am being given such an unfair advantage over my matchups. (and clans like mine are probably the reason for some of those 'unfair matchup' threads that go around)
So these low accounts are members young kids (some the sons and daughters of members) and guys we are slowly teaching the game so that they can someday be tomorrows monsters. (I would suggest this makes us good for the future of clash) And being such we don't want to just toss them out to get tougher wars to our liking. In fact we would quit CW before dumping on the kids if we were forced to that choice.
Likewise, I have (because another zing from a detractor gave me the idea) started thinking that with opt in/out I could make up an army of just the kids and put them in. Now with the rest of us out of there they would get a bunch of opponents reasonably evenly matched. That's is a type of practice I have not yet been able to provide them. When they come with the rest of us they get killed so it is not meaningful experience. (except because of the hard knocks experience they are much less whiners than I often see around) To your point about donating high troops, I don't that would give them the experience we want. I would serve that aim better by having them handle donating to each other.
I could care less about our record. I always lose interest in my last war as soon as it ends and start looking forward to the next. The only place I am going to find any fun for myself is in the next.
