Why we NEED an opt in/out feature ASAP

I do. But that is beside the point. I would still want the opt in/out because not everyone in my clan has the two accounts. And I would not want to waste one in non war clan. I would rather be able to opt guys in one clan in or out so both accounts are free to be used for fighting. In other words, I did not make the second account to be used as an administration tool. Its so I can double my pleasure double my fun.

Oh, no I did not buy the second device for that reason. I had many other reasons to want to have both a pad and a smartphone. But since I do have both that gave me a second place to have a second account just incidentaly. So you are right that the actual purchases were not any way for the purposes of a game.

FB group is a great idea. Many clans have forums etc. Unfortunately your voice will fall in deaf ears as it requires effort.

I know people do. Our clan has players(2) who has 2 accounts. But they are kids and they aren't mature enough to run a sub clan or be a co. Leaders/co are people who are doing degree or jobs(multiple sometimes )

So its unthinkable to ask them to manage 2 accounts or 2 clans. Just an example. People who has access to multiple devices or accounts and who can handle two clans are definitely minority.

About fb group. Not everyone are fond of fb or even use it. I quit fb like 2 years ago I guess. Below 20-30 age its popular and easy solution I guess. But not everyone uses fb and forcing them to do so is not what we like to do. But I understand its working great for you guys.

This is all correct. Even as someone that has 2 accounts I still have to agree with you.

The idea of having multiple accounts makes my head spin!

In that case, a "password" option for granting access to clans might be a feature you want, i.e. in order to join a clan you would need to know and enter a password that would be transmitted by some other means. People who leave the clans could come back easily (or people recruited through other forums or websites join), yet the people in the clan would not have to put up with a ton of join requests.

Before I begin, some background on my clan.

1. We have 3 clans, a main war clan, a training war clan, and an idle clan for inactives, vacationers, and active duty military.
2. Several members have two accounts, which facilitates communication. One member has three.
3. We have an external website for additional communication, private messaging etc.
4. Clan leader ship in each clan has each others phone numbers to text in emergencies, to make switching members out easier.
5. We are a serious war clan, we have won 85 wars and command total participation in the main and trainer.


That said, this is why I still would like to see the opt out option for war.

1. Sometimes people just need a break, our war schedule is rigorous, and making sure you have the resources to build two first class armies every other day and still upgrade your base is a small task. That said, you also do not want to be a lonely pariah in the idle clan, or have the hassle of dropping in and out of the clan prior to war start times, which changes very war.

2. Upgrades to king/queen. At about TH 9 fighting without the king and queen can be the difference of a loss, and a member may want to opt out without dropping the clan (see lonely pariah point above)

3. A member may have time to play, and they may not, but can't be sure. Rather than jeopardize the clans success and become, of course, a lonely pariah, they could toggle to opt out without worrying about dropping prior to the wars. I experienced this myself last week with the introduction of a new job, and I was unsure if my turns would be taken consistently. Our war strategy requires people to fight at very specific times in the war. Plus we immediately boot anybody who misses a turn short of injury, death, acts of God, or pregnancy related issues, so this would help those with unsure schedules beable to play with friends, without the pressure of war attacks.


I also agree with why more casual clans would want this, but this is a perspective of a serious, war all the time clan, who actually has extremely tight communication, and several external methods. However, it should be pointed out that a game that requires external methods to function properly, or inefficient work arounds, is NOT functioning properly.

I'm surprised this has even gone so long. The opt out should certainly be in.

In my clan we have 25 people, all real life friends. We chat all the time and war twice a week. That being said, some people take it more serious than others. Should we really have to kick out our real life friends for war? We're not making multiple clans because we still all chat and the kick and invite option is just a loop hole where an actual option should suffice.
