Mass dragons? Too overpowered!

So my clan has always won our clan wars. Mostly because we are often paired with clans who are not as active as us.

However, 2 days ago we were paired with an extremely active and high-leveled clan. They started with a strong lead with over 30 stars over us. In the end, we used all our attacks and still won by 3 stars.

From this war, I realized how overpowered the dragons are! I remember Chief Pat making a video about it, how the dragons used to be THE strategy for pushing, and Supercell nerfed them with the 4th Air deff. However, i observed in my clan with mostly th 8, the enemy can easily wreck our base with mass dragons. A Maxed out th8, 3 level 6 air defenses with all the air bombs still can't stop those raged up dragons.

So what are we supposed to do when the base layout no longer matters as it can't stop these dragons?

I am a TH9, and i see my base defending well against dragons, hogs or gowipe. It's just sad seeing all my other clan mates bases being wrecked.

I'm not really asking for dragons to be nerfed, it's just nice to see other people attack with other strategies rather than dragons, that's all.

For the people saying that the solution is to upgrade to th9, I disagree 100%.

Every troop is overpowered at a certain TH level. And you can never live without them.

It's the base, not the town hall. Most dragon attacks take two stars, sometimes one, but never three (up to lvl 3 drags, haven't tested against lvl 4).

The only TH that can complain about mass drag being OP is TH 7, TH 8 can fend it off just fine.

At Th8 and 7, dragons r very powerful and get 3 stars on other Th8 and 7's, especially against a good attacker. There is nothing much u can do here. It will get better as u upgrade to th9. 😊

If your layout is decent and you have level 6 ADs, then an army of level 3 drags shouldn't be able to 3 star your base. Let them get 2 stars with drags and then get 3 on their bases with level 4 hogs or gowipe

Yeah, dragons should always 3-star a TH7 or TH8 if you do it right, then at TH9 they become obsolete compared to the much better war strategies.

Check out this attack strategy for TH8 with Mass Drags. When executed properly, I've yet to see it not get 3* on any TH8. You'll probably retract that statement.

Of course, if you adhere to the "spray and pray" methodology. 1-2 stars is incredibly more likely.

Let's just nerf everything. No one is happy until they get what they want! How about this, Make a TH8 Anti-Dragon base and then watch the dragon attacks. Seriously, there are solutions to problems.
