What was the motive behind the wall update?

The update was actually designed to help players like you. You are a TH9 and can spend all the elixir you want while the TH8's that you attack have to save it up for you to steal. The only reason you are having troubles is because you refuse to work on two levels of walls at a time. Unlike the TH7 and TH8 players this update has only a minor effect on you and actually benefits you more than it harms you by giving you richer targets.

Sadly too many players like that are blinded by there here and now to see the benefit in the future.

That sounds a bit inefficient since it takes 30-45 minutes to remove a couple tens of thousands. Even more inefficient if you mean delete from queue

Wow complainers now days really i don't think supercell should've done the walls with elixir update to begin with it seriously screwed up the economy but then they didnt only fail to eliminate the problem they also made a new problem, ALL THE TH7-8 complainers it's sorta like when ur given something really good for a while then u complain cause u can't get used to living without it, a perfect example of this was the 4 min wizard event. Now this update might not have completely fixed the loot problem but it's gonna do a damn lot of good so stop complaining about it U simple minded fools!!!

You are complaining essentially that you have too much elixir because you don't want to bother upgrading 2 levels of walls. Instead you "delete" elixir by making spells and deleting them (which if you mean removing from queue doesnt actually do anything).

I seriously don't get why you can't just use gold on Skulls and elixir on legos... problem solved. If you cared so much about not looking trashy you would have upgrade those level 7 walls to at least level 8 ages ago.
