What was the motive behind the wall update?

it was supposedly so elixir was readable again

So I can come with lvl 6 troops and take it all.

No cause i was sick of all the loot i had with nothing to do with it and frankly i asked what the motive was so go troll another thread plz

To go along with that, more elixir = more likely to attack hard bases. With more attacks and less nexting, there will be less gold slipping through the cracks and vanishing from the game. With less nexting and more attacking, there will be more league bonus to increase the gold supply.

Probably not a big factor but it's something

in fairness they added DE drills for TH 7's and 8's so they all now have something else to spend lix on

if you're still flush with nothing to do with it then train big, expensive armies and train for war. youre going to need the experience when you hit TH9

In my view it was successful. I had a fully maxed TH8 and quit playing. With the elixir intensive upgrades needed at the beginning of TH9 it just seemed pointless. I fought in wars but other than that essentially stopped. Trophies dropped around 400 with being raided once or twice a day. Since the update I've started playing again and a two barracks boost resulted in my usual take. Once my new DE pump and lvl 12 collectors are done I'll go TH9 and start that grind now that it's doable. I didn't like the idea of elixir into walls to start with and it worked about as well as I expected so I quit, but now they've had a change of heart so have I and I'm back. (Sorry but my 6mil gold everyone been hitting will be gone shortly.)
