Some of us are telling him this based off of experience doing it both ways.....my ten was a little rushed my nine hasn't rushed at all. With far less playing time my nine is very quickly catching up to my ten. My nine is 15 deep on lavas my ten hasn't even finished legos yet. Experiencing both I can say in all honesty maxing makes life easier, unless you've done both you really just will never understand.Quote:

But you know what, follow everyones advice on maxing. it is better, for you and for us th9s. taking loot from a th8 is super easy, so im not gonna post and advice anyone else on the matter. To everyone who asks, everyone is right, maxing is the way to go. Let the higher lvl th9s pound on you for fun.
make sure to stay there maxing walls and the BK, your base will protect that Dark Liquid rather well.

It really depends on your overall goal in playing the game. Every town hall has a fun part that starts when you get to a new town hall level and get to unlock new troops and buildings, and a boring part that comes at the end of the town hall level when you are finishing walls and boring buildings. If your goal is to eventually fully max your TH10 base then you are better off maxing each town hall level so you spread the boring part out and get the best possible loot you can since upgrading your town hall just makes looting harder. If you goal is to get all the fun parts done and then quit out of boredom at TH10 because you have so many boring parts left (mostly walls) and nothing fun to do, then rushing like xQQx suggests will be just fine. The graveyards of CoC are littered with the inactive, unmaxed TH10 bases of people that couldn't be bothered to max their town halls each level. There is nothing wrong with joining them if you wish.Quote:

I use my raiding time better. Walls can wait. Having a better offense and practicing better raid skills is more important. I see so many none maxed th9 defend against other th9s and 10s its not even funny. A semi rushed ( once again, not dumb rushed ) th10 will defend against all but the most experienced th10 attackers in war. At that point, the walls would make a difference. But be honest with yourself, you arent in the top 200 clans in the game, i dont think you are going against the best raiders in the game for it to matter much in war !
There are so many sad th8s in the gold ranges any halfway decent close to max 8 has almost nothing to worry about, 3 of the 8s in my clan are in this position of maxing walls and the last few defenses and they never get rolled in gold. But since you seem to get frustrated when anyone disagrees with you I'll just leave it at that. I dont care if people disagree anymore. Its just amazing everyone has been taught to believe maxing is the only way to be suscesfull. Some players have proven it isnt. In the end, it should boil down to how active a farmer you are... If you do 200 to 300 attacks a season, rushing is better.
If you dont farm a lot, then passive income from the collectors and maxing ( camping ) is better.
I'm glad the thread turned out fruitful :3 being an active farmer and war guy at the same time, I decided to leave my walls as is and collect gold needed for teslas while waiting for mines and collectors to reach 12, sitting on 3m now collected in 2h :3 I'll upgrade teslas between mines/collectors, channeling additional gold onto walls if necessary n_n Thanks for all the help everyone :D
